Cut New key at a good keysmith's shop. If your car key has the RFID chip you may need to reprogramme another RFID chip and embed it in the New key.

No you dont.

Do not change 2, you might have ABS codes.

And I sell tyres by the way.

Hello Gazzuzz. Just got a toks 06 accord.

Planning to do a complete transmission fluid and engine oil overhaul.

Was wondering if this is safe and if there are any other things I need to note.

Thanks in anticipation of a favorable response.

Hi Gazzuzz.

You didn't specify the 'if' conditions as to why a transmission and engine oil replacement would be potentially hazardous.

Also, car manual recommends 'honda' branded fluid for both transmission and engine block. With a note on third parties not being recommended.

Is this a warning I should heed to considering the fact that those might be hard to find. I live in Abuja btw, if you know where I can get the recommended honda fluids, pray tell.

Sorry for being a bother... First car. Don't want to make too many mistakes.

The use of synthetic engine oil 5w30 is sensitive. When car comes from a Foreign country,
they usually follow manufacturer specifications, but if car gets to Naija 20w50 on 5000mile intervals is used to damage a prestige engine. So before you pour that 5w30 manufacturer spec engine oil (I sell engine oil)
ensure you know what was previously used.

note you did not specify if car is Nigerian used or toks.

Car is a mint toks.

Pretty sure I'm the first Nigerian user.
Also, manual States 5w-20. What's the difference between this and the 5w-30 you recommended.

You sell honda branded engine oil? Can you ship to abuja? How many days will it take?

Hi Mr Gazzuz. God bless you for the good work you are doing here, Please, I got a Nigerian used Camry 2008, the previous owner drove it for about 11months before I got it, and he uses the regular naija palm oyel (xhp) which I had also used for about a year now until last month after reading some of your posts about recommended fluids, then I switched to the 5w20, however, car smokes in the morning for few seconds when I start the engine, since I got it though. My question is could the smoke be an effect of the oil previously used, how can it be corrected, car still runs well, thermostat intact. Thank you!

Hello,
I have been having this issue with my 2007 Honda Accord I4 for a very long time now, and it is getting worse.

1. The car auto revs on its own in park and neutral . Once you start it, goes Voom! Voom! Voom! With the tach going up and down continously.

2. It jerks with a thud, when changing from park to reverse or from neutral to drive.

3. On motion, the vehicle drives itself as there is no throttle response and does not exceed 40km/hr. There is also a slight thud when it shifts from gear 1-2 and when downshifting too. I can only control it with the brake at this point. The engine sound is also very high.

Initially, this issues happen intermittently , in that, the car would drive well for like a month, and then the issue will come up suddenly, say for 2 days and everything becomes normal afterwards, but it has been very consistent recently and the car is beginning to stall on motion.

Overtime, I have scanned the car and got codes related to throttle body, throttle position sensor, and online checks suggest the culprit could also be a vacuum leak.

I have replaced about 3-4 throttle bodies, the latest being a brand new one I ordered online.I have also replaced my intake tube,ECU, replaced sensor plugs,e.t.c, still the issue has persisted.

Presently, I have codes P2135 and P2176.

I have been going about this diagnosis myself because I stay in bonny island,Rivers State, and here, there are no competent mechanics or auto electricians that can tell me what the problem is.

I would appreciate if anyone with such experience could point out what I could do to resolve the issue or refer me to a very competent auto mech or electrician in port Harcourt that could help me resolve this issue.

Thank you.

My mum's 06 Pontiac Vibe (a Toyota Matrix in another body) has same code.

All my research had no easy solution. The sensor involved is inside the transmission making access difficult. Its a very common fault with 05/06 Toyota cars with 1zz engines.

It affects fuel economy a little and that is all. You will just have to manage with the check engine light.
