I'm facing serious electricity shortage thts affectg my coding.

Watz d best way to generate electricity for programming.
A) inverter : wat are its pros and cons. Can one rely on it for serious work?
How much does a good one go for (800w-1kva)

B) i-pass-my-neighbour: (generator) . Its not as expensive as inverter but the recurrent costs add up quickly (fuel etc) and d noise.
N5k fuel/month=N60k/yr
n10k/month = N120k/yr

C) what other affordable options are they?
Laptop? - whats average life span of a laptop battery. How does it hold with time . 1yr,2yrs,3yrs

2.) can 1 connect a lappy directly to a gen(i pass my naybor) without ruining it? I know a desktop can?

Starting from No. 2, never ever connect any electronic directly to i-pass-my-neighbor, always connect it first to an incandescent (yellow) bulb and make sure the light steady before plugging your laptop.

1. Inverter is only useful when you have at least 12 hours of light per day, unless you are going for a full fledged solar panels Inverter with +100A battery.
Anything less than that, go for i-pass-my-neighbor and savour the noise and smokes

Actually, i used an i pass my neighbour for over 6 months on a desktop without serious issues. Except for d noise (its really unbearable esp @ night).
I bought it and used it only for d computer.

Heard generators without pure sine waves output cud damage certain electronics hence my consideration of inverters.

If i had even 6hrs of light a day i wudnt b thinkg of inverter.
