I have been an ardent reader of this forum and must commend everyone for their very useful contributions. My Honda accord EOD just started making this funny whinning sound whenever I stir. It all began last week when I got my AC fixed some of the power steering fluid poured out but I promptly refilled it. Now this am I noticed same noiiuce again. Please any suggestions as to what may be wrong? Because am in a new town and don't have a trusted mechanic. Thank you all.

U probaly ran the powersteering dry and there are some trapped air bubbles give it a few days and see if it stops, or you could bleed the system. Also check level of fluid make sure its adequate.

thanks a million Gazzuzz, am giving it nsome time maybe by Friday will have out checked. Plus yes the level is OK.

Tell your mechanic to change the o ring inside the pipe that connects your power steering pump. All he has to do is lose the bolt and pull the pipe out, remove the o ring rubber n replace it with a good one. Exactly. Make sure you use the recommended steering oil.
