U'd begin from ATS 1. Their exam comes up March & September every year. This year's exam is slated for September 16th & 17th. U'd need to pay registration fees- N6k before paying for exams. Exam fee is N20,750 for 4 papers. U can go to ICAN website to find out more details.

Wait till the ICAN release the Study Pack for Mgt Gov&Ethics but as par PSAF, you can use the existing Study Pack.

Is it after i pass the ATS1 that i wil move to the next stage and wil i have to pay for subsequent stages? Can u please list the stages one must pass b4 being conferred any wit ACA.

I was serving when I did PE1, so I was unable2 go 4 lecture. For PE2, I didn't attend lecture based on my experience from PE1 but I went4 FRE revision class only.
But from my observation, it is better2 attend lectures, most especially with the changes in the old syllabus.
New syllabus structure- section A(compulsory) 30marks, section B (2 questions) 20marks each, section C (2 questions) 15 marks each.
No multiple choice questions, no short answer questions.

I have not been able to pass two papers , is it when the MDCS is added that I will be able to pass? Hmmm. I almost fainted when I got congratulatory msg from AJSilicon , calling me dear Professional colleague . Wao , I am now qualified . My friends that are yet to get to this new height , all what you need are Persistence , patience , determination and above all God . note. Don't rely on the lecture note only but also exhaust your ICAN packs in and out . For your information , I only attended tutorial class once during my PE 1 and since then I have been reading on my own ..and now the rest is history. I will be waiting to hear your testimonies by Jan 2015 .

Only graduate of accounting will start from application level (former pe1), graduate of economics, et al will start from knowledge level (former foundation level) though u may be given some exceptions in the courses to be taken

I'm a graduate of B.Sc Economics & MBA Accounting yet I started from Foundation (now Knowledge level). Had an exemption only in Economics. Only Accounting graduates are lucky when it comes to exemptions (as they usually begin from PE 1) but trust me, in d PE1 lectures I attended, those who started from Foundation or ATS have greater advantage over fresh accounting graduates.

Does it mean all wat u learnt in ur bsc are useless since ur gonna start from foundation? I mean accounting graduates

My Dear, I do not even know too sef. And to think that when I wrote PE1, I thought I wld score at least 70% but I narrowly escaped scoring between 50 - 52. I think they seriously tighten up giving out marks. What I've been made to believe is this: If U're sure of getting like 50-60% after an exam, that paper would most likely be a failure.

Only God knows how they mark Advanced Audit and Assurance, to see someone that score above 65 in AAA is usually a tall order.

In addition to the F7 BPP Study text, get the F7 Exam kit and familiarise yourself with the questions and also make iasplus.com your best friend for all IFRS and IAS related issues.

Using more than one text may hinder you from thoroughly covering the syllabus.
