The Civic Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos was the venue for this panAfrican event. Three authors were shortlisted for $20k cash reward and 24 carat full gold award. Akin Bello the author of Egbon of Lagos, a play, won the prestigious award. Several literary icon and would-be literary icon like my humble self were in attendance. Congrats to Akin Bello. I particularly love the catchy title: Egbon of Lagos. |
