Lacomus: I think English language has eaten deep into our culture, I was with some friends yesterday, about nine of us were speaking a different dialect, every one was claiming that his local dialect is easier to understand, before I knew it questions were flying any how, some one told the other since his dialect is so simple that he should count from one to a thousand, ma guy no fit reach twenty , even the dude that ask the question couldn't count to fifty at the end of the day few persons barely got to hundred. I know some people can run their mouth from now till tomorrow in their local dialect, the big question is can you count to one thousand ?
. Anytime any day

1 to 100, that's pretty easy.

Know your basic 1 to 10 in Igbo, the remaining numeric system is a simple combination of 1 to 10. I'll count in central Igbo for the sake of convenience.

I guess you got igbo language A1 if not we need to review your result immediately.

He got everything there correct!
But when I was in primary/secondary school in Aba, "9" is called Iteolu/iteghete, I don't know where he got itenaani from. Might be the way the say it in his village but the most generally accepted one is "Iteolu".
