I on my laptop only to have this error message.
“A disk read error occurred”
“Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart”
Pressing this botton did not solve any problem. So I realized the hard disk is about to pack.

I unmount the hard disk from the laptop and through a USB connector, I was able to connect it to a working laptop.
Booting to windows, the hard disk was recognized but won't allow me to do anything on it. Its not opening and my target was to recover my docs asap.

Pls, the tech on this forum, kindly help me out on suggestion and recommendations on how to go about recovering my files. I have tried some software but not yielding results. Thanks.

I use a software called Get Data Back, pretty good. It has ntfs and fat versions get the one appropriate for your drive.

I was playing a song I downloaded overnight when suddenly, it stopped playing. I thought that finally my battery was dead. You would need to plug the card to a memory reader and connect it to a system. I hope when you wiped it you didn't damage those teeth on it in the process else its a OYO case. After connecting. Just run recuva and it would help get your files back that's if the care is not damaged physically.

Bought the software and key @ 7000 (premium)... I can give @ 1.5k (serial and setup + steps)... Remember it works for sd card, flash drive, hard disk and any other peripheral devices

Sorry, about that. I lost all my data but that was maybe because I wasn't smart enough to use the recuva software I downloaded. You should do better, peharps it will work for you.
