I have a 2001 rav 4 ecu that was changed. I still held on to the old one since I am not too satisfied wit the one installed.pls can the old one be repaired.at how much and where are u based.note that the old one has not been tampered wit.

Make it easy call now I'm in Lagos for a couple of jobs, but I'm based in port harcourt, would return to base after the work

Apologies for the delay OROZ av been off the grid but am back now tha car has been fixed but now the movement of the car is now slow and picks up speed very late and doesn't get to 100kph even on 3rd mainland bridge, i scanned it and i got some injector nozzle misfires.

i still need help with this as i don't want to fix and the earlier problem will resume again

U can source for it around ur location, the prices are slightly different depends on the seller, u need about 8/9ltrs to gauge after a complete drain.

Bro just got this 2003 Rav 4 for my parents, I immediately noticed these issues with the gear shifting.
The car won't pass 80 to 100 km/hr and the x1000rpm meter gets to 3500 to 4000 with engine screaming.
This car is currently in Lagos but scheduled to leave for Anambra/Aba on in 2 days time.
What can you do for me/advise.

Note I just discovered this last week the first time I drove the car and I rushed to the internet to check what the problem was only to discover that is was a factory defect.

Doesn't really matter coz these are burnt n bad fibres and are going to be replaced with new sets, I won't expose the new sets to dirts n it would still be washed properly b4 rebuilding the new transmission. Thanks for your concern.

I am seeing O/D drum/clutch, forward clutch and final drive there, and I know those aren't gonna be replaced. It is better to limit your contamination risk as much as you can in the first place.
