mufutau55: I plan to fill the compound with laterite sand above normal ground water level so the foundation will be safe from the effects of the water level. The good news is that Enugu lands are far from the ocean and so the salinity level is lower. We have cast the DPC today and we reinforced the perimeter of the foundation with iron rods as I usually do. Another thing is to prepare a good water channel gutter to allow rain water to run off along the sides of the fence. |

The DPC of this house has been done, we took time to ring the exterior walls of the foundation with reinforcement iron.

Floor layout with minor changes. The added toilet, kitchen, dining area, rear balcony and dining exit door. Hoping the landlord will like the layout. We can still make some changes tomorrow morning.
