Definitely the worst team in brazil's soccer history. The team lacked depth and creativity. From players like the great Pele to Jairzinho, Garrincha, Rivelino, Zico, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho and so on, Brazil's midfielders have been known for creativity and soccer artistry. The present bulk of the team ply their trade in England..Willian, Luiz (until recently), Oscar, Ramires, Paulinho, Fernandinho to mention but a few. The English brand of football has always laid more emphasis on speed and strength than creativity and skillful play (really don't expect this line of argument to be popular with Nigerians due to the large followership). Gone are the days when brazilians avoided the English league like a plague. Ronaldo da Lima was once quoted to have said that the English game lacked technicality. Juninho Paulister first broke the trend when he moved to Middlesbrough in 1995 (couldn't establish a place in the selecao afterwards), then came Gilberto Silver's move to Arsenal after the 2002 world cup and ever since then, its been a massive influx of Brazilian soccer players into England. No doubt these players get to make a lot of money while plying their trade in England, but they have to choose between wealth and immortality. Take Paulinho as an example, he was an exceptional player during the 2013 confederations cup, moved to Tottenham after the tournament, returned a horrible player in the world cup. I listened to one of Pele's interviews in the early 90s where he expressed his concerns on the likely negative effects of European soccer on Samba due to an exodus of Brazilian soccer players into Europe, guess those fears have been confirmed. Until this trend is reversed (especially the English soccer embrace), samba football can be declared officially as dead.

Oscar was their best player against Germany and against the Netherlands. He was phenomenal in the first natch against Croatia. Oscar is Brazil's 3rd best player after neymar and Silva.

I tell u. They won their first game against Croatia with the help of the referee. After that they beat Cameroon, drew mexico. If they had played an European team in the second round they wouldn't have made it to the semi final. The only player that is willing to do something is neymar, without him they are useless. No wonder they all cried when neymar got injured.
