seunmsg: America, NATO and Malaysia should attack Russia immediately if it is true that the MH17 was brought down by a surface to air missile. This is the time for the world to respond strongly to Putin's crazy obsession with Ukraine. Enough of all those meaningless sanctions. If Putin is not cut to size now, the world may be seeing the making of another Hitler. RIP to the 280 passengers and 15 crews!!

Haaahaaaa grin !! Attack Russia ke!! And risk having western Europe invaded, and continental USA nuked? Guy, you've been playing too much Call of Duty. IF Russia is responsible, all we'll get are a bunch of strongly worded statements and a bunch of sanctions. But will it deter Russia from aiding the rebels? Absolutely not.

Btw this whole mess falls squarely on the Ukrainian govt, particularly those maidan clowns and the West who stoked the flames without thinking of the repercussions. Well, there you have it.

No nation, group or individual should be allowed to bring down passenger planes flying at over 30000 feet without a strong response from the world powers. Ukrainian separatist couldn't have brought down this plane without the Russians support. I am aware of your sentimental attachment to anything Putin but this is one strike too much. It's simply genocide and the Russians must pay for this.

The Americans brought down an Iranian passenger jet, WW3 didn't happen. The Soviets shot down a Korean Airline jet, yet nothing happened.

Obi1kenobi: Russia's conventional armed forces is a shadow of what it used to be in the Soviet era. It spends far less on its military than it used to. It doesn't rank among the top 3 military powers currently but what Russia maintains is an enormous nuclear arsenal that can destroy the planet several times over. For this reason alone, no country would ever be stupid enough to seek direct armed conflict with Russia close to their homeland. The worst that would happen is wider economic sanctions and international political isolation when they get up to mischief.

WRONG!! Yes it was during the Gorbachev and Yelstin years. But Putin changed all that when he stepped as President, particularly at the end of the 1st disastrous Chechyan War. During his first tenure, he began to reform the military, changing it from a conscript to a volunteer force, changed its old soviet doctrine and training, and introduced new generation weaponry. The current Russian Armed Forces is generations ahead of the shell they were in the past, and recent military operations have proved just that.

The only the the US can do is sanctions and thats about it. and it has to restrain itself from pushing Russia to hard into a corner as it would be more dangerous. Right now Iran is negotiating and Russia can derail it buy providing them with the s-300 they have always wanted. and they could cut off the overflight permit they gave the US in Afghanistan as well.

Also don't forget Syria were the Russians can scuttle the current process to dismantle Syria ' s chemical arsenal.

First thought that brewed in my head when I heard the news about this Malaysian Airlines MH17 was "Holy smokes! The Americans/NATO have succeeded in infiltrating the Russian military ranks either by bribe or other means to completely discredit Putin & the Russian federation by shooting down this civilian Aircraft"

Don't blame me for thinking that way, it's no news how given the right amount of money you can convince a Russian General to sell you a Tank and also the extent to which the USA can go to achieve their agenda via proxy e.g NATO, CIA etc. Corruption remains the Achilles heel of Russia and it's only natural for them Capitalists to "capitalize" on that.

That being said, the call intercept being circulated by the Ukrainian authorities (if actually credible) directly points to the separatists who MISTAKENLY shot down MH17 thinking it was a military AN-26 transport aircraft. If this is actually true, it's a big blow on Russia because it simply means they have no professional control over their creation as they are reportedly running things via Secret service.

But then again it beats me how the separatists easily captured the said BUK anti-air Missile system and automatically had the technical know how + supporting equipment to carry out such a complicated & precision-Laden operation. This again points to my initial Capitalists infiltration postulation or a different scenario of Russian service men being among the separatists.

With all that said, it's so painful to see that the lives of almost 300 innocent people who looked forward to a brighter day was wasted as a result of power tussle & unnecessarily stupid politics! RIP to the dead.

As more details begin to emerge the question we have to ask if who stands to gain from this act? Cui bono? Was it an accident or a deliberate act and why?

If it was a deliberate act, commonsense dictates that the fascist Ukranian govt which in recent times has suffered heavy losses and hasn't been able to make any significant progress in addition to the retaking of Slavianysk stands to gain the most as it would draw the attention of the international community to their cause.

If it was an accident, then it was most likey the rebels that are the culprits since I don't see how deliberately shooting down a passenger airline aids their cause in any way or puts Russia in a favourable position....

Now the US media is claiming that the Buk system used by the rebels (which the Ukranian foreign minister had unwiittingly contradiced just a few minutes ago live on CNN when he stated that such a system was never in the hands of - or seized from Ukranian forces by the rebels) has been shipped off to Russia to be dismantled. If this report is to be believed you have to marvel at the speed not only with which these rebels can allegedly move this heavy system over borders but at the speed a which US and Ukranian intelligence sources are able to arrive at these conclusions and so-called evidences (those intercepted videos and conversations purpotedly of rebels in the aftermath of the crash included)

The Russians on their part are claiming that that a Buk missile system under the command of the Ukrainian armed forces was operational on the day this plane was shot and that a heat signature from that system was observed just before the plane was brought down......

All these claims, accusations and counter accusations makes this incident and the conflict in Ukraine at large very intriguing and potentially extremely dangerous

If I go by what Samantha Power said at the security council,America is fully ready to deal with Russia with the backing of the UN,cause her mood was saddened at the death of 3 infants onboard.

The passion with which she said,"We won't stop until we get all the facts".

A more bigger question is,When would Israel/Palestine fuckqing end this fight?

the egyptian case was different. How could you oust a president from his seat because he refused to sign a trade deal with the EU...preffering to move closer to Russia instead. My friend this is the highest act of impunity.

That was one of the major agitations though, the only sympathizers were the Russians who with devil's wings seized the opportunity and moved in on Crimea.

The Bigger picture is the ousted president wanted to deepen ties with a power drunken Supreme Oligarch-Vladmir Putin.

If the president wasn't ousted Ukraine and the EU would be in hot mess cause they will be kicked aside as with Russia and many Ukrainians didn't want that.

say no to CNN &BBC. Crimeans had a referendum. They detest kiev. How could you call Putin a power drunk leader. Last time I checked Russia wasn't invading weaker countries in the name of WMD. When did it become a crime to sign a trade deal with Russia?
The west want to bring Russia to her knees. That's wicked! Visit RT and see the other side of the coin. It's just like Jonathan getting ousted by APC cos he chose to have a closer tie with China rather than the US. It is absurd.

TEN QUESTIONS FOR THE UKRAINIAN AUTHORITIES

1. Immediately after the tragedy, the Ukrainian authorities, naturally, blamed it on the self-defense forces. What are these accusations based on?

2. Can Kiev explain in detail how it uses Buk missile launchers in the conflict zone? And why were these systems deployed there in the first place, seeing as the self-defense forces don’t have any planes?

3. Why are the Ukrainian authorities not doing anything to set up an international commission? When will such a commission begin its work?

4. Would the Ukrainian Armed Forces be willing to let international investigators see the inventory of their air-to-air and surface-to-air missiles, including those used in SAM launchers?

5. Will the international commission have access to tracking data from reliable sources regarding the movements of Ukrainian warplanes on the day of the tragedy?

6. Why did Ukrainian air traffic controllers allow the plane to deviate from the regular route to the north, towards “the anti-terrorist operation zone”?

7. Why was airspace over the warzone not closed for civilian flights, especially since the area was not entirely covered by radar navigation systems?

8. How can official Kiev comment on reports in the social media, allegedly by a Spanish air traffic controller who works in Ukraine, that there were two Ukrainian military planes flying alongside the Boeing 777 over Ukrainian territory?

9. Why did Ukraine’s Security Service start working with the recordings of communications between Ukrainian air traffic controllers and the Boeing crew and with the data storage systems from Ukrainian radars without waiting for international investigators?

10. What lessons has Ukraine learned from a similar incident in 2001, when a Russian Tu-154 crashed into the Black Sea? Back then, the Ukrainian authorities denied any involvement on the part of Ukraine’s Armed Forces until irrefutable evidence proved official Kiev to be guilty.

Thought provoking questions that give an interesting dimension to what really transpired. Nice one bro.

There's really more to this than meets the eye. This could probably be a deliberate conspiracy by the Ukrainian authorities & their backers to frame up the separatists & Russia, but still it's just a hypothesis.

When will the UN stand up and react. This is an international issue. Flying in an altituide of 33000/10km is considered a international airspace. If fighting parties have weapons with that kind of firepower, then they should be made responsible. The UN at there meeting should deside to sent in forces, support the investication, force all fighting sides to a seize fire and make the ones responsible. When will the UN do there job. The fighting sides with there supporters will not start a war with the rest of a united world.
This world is getting to small for bullies and egoists.

I believe we now know who actually shot down the airliner.

www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/mh17-crash-hear-moment-russian-3877080

www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/ukraine-intercepted-audio-shows-separatist-rebels-shot-malaysia-airlines-plane/

www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-07-17/ukraine-releases-youtube-clip-proving-rebels-shot-down-malaysian-flight-mh-17

Mark this report quoted from the first link I posted above on Ukraine separatists' possession of a more complex missile,

"... A US official also reportedly said a single surface-to-air missile, fired from a complex launch system, was suspected to have brought the jet down.

Last month a Russian military news channel reported a Ukrainian launcher had fallen into the hands of separatists.
A similar one was seen by journalists in nearby Snizhne yesterday..."

More evidence and actual footage of Ukrainian rebels using sophisticated missile to down the Malaysian airliner here:
