All applications to schools in the UK are made through UCAS, an admission recruiting agency. There are well over 350 institutions listed on the UCAS website. However, if you intend to study in the UK as a part time student, you’ll need to contact the schools individually to get more details regarding admission. For convenience, UCAS uses the online application method. They’ll work closely with students and schools to ensure all application materials are sent packaged to colleges.

The UK immigration services expect that you have a budget of at least of 1020 euro per month to study In the UK. This is the minimum amount for getting a visa to the UK. Average student rents are usually 150 euro, but you can find cheaper accommodations with a smaller amount. For a week, you’ll need about 104 euros. This amount varies depending on how much you party.
UCAS APPLICATION DATES
UK schools don’t deal directly with applicants, they accept applications through UCAS. The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) is the British admission service for students applying to university, including post-16 education as of 2012.
*February –September: Use this extended time frame to research institutions, programs that meet your academic interest. Most college open days run during this period, make the most of these visits by visiting universities and exploring their facilities.
*15 October: This is the deadline for submission of application materials to UCAS. You can’t hope to get into any medical programs of top notch universities if your application materials don’t get to UCAS by this time.
*15 January: This date is termed “late application deadline” by UCAS. Applications are marked late at this time. Applicants are highly encouraged to submit their applications before the January 15. Applying before this deadline allows schools to carefully go through your personal essays and course preference.
*7 May: Most colleges will send admission decisions to UCAS, please reply with acceptance or denial replies to any such college. If UCAS does not receive your reply, they’ll rightly decline the admission on your behalf.
