When we say innovations we r nt relating it to general life innovations like driving a car, flying an aeroplane, using a mobile fone because d ppl who invented dose devices didn't do so to get close to Almighty Allah. So Innovation in islam can b simply defined as EVERY act done/perform in a way to get close to Allah or 2 seek Allahs pleasure dat was not taught by d prophet(SAW) or acted upon... On the Authority of Abdullahi ibn mashud(RTW) he said one day d prophet(SAW) came to meet dem outside and drew a straight line on d sand and told dem this is d truth path, the path of Almighty Allah and at d end of d line is paradise..He also drew a straight line at both side of d straight line and said this r oda paths, d paths of destructions and at d end of both line is a devil calling to deviate 4rm d straight line.. The Peophet(SAW) said in an hadiths that beware of newly invented matters cos every new matters is an innovation and every innovations is a mis guidance.. Abdullahi ibn Abas said d worst affairs in d sight of Allah is innovation..
