Sven stood bent over the sink, crying into his own vomit. He was so teary eyed he could barely see his own reflection in theirror in front of him. He had personally helped jenny clean the wound on her dress. True, it has been a full thirty minutes before they had had a chance to stop running and tend to the wound. There had not been any available running water but they were able to wash the wound with a can of coke they had seen lying around on the floor. Sven had got some paramedic training a few years back and knew he ought to wash it till it bled but jenny kept on crying out and he was too soft hearted to cause her more pain. Klein was the strong one but before he could do anything they had been discovered and had to run for their lives.

He had been the one to chose jenny the day they were going through the adopting catalogue. She had been such a sweet girl and reminded him of his baby sister. She had disowned him of course when he came out of the gay closet and then he hadn't cared as he was deeply in love with Klein. However over the years he had started to miss her and had been looking for a chance at reconciliation. Even when they had adopted Jenny and sent her the pictures she had not been moved to come and visit. Only recently she had agreed that they could come over to see her family and Sven had been ecstatic. A few days to go and the zombie Apocalypse had hit. When he called she had picked up the phone, screaming and hysterical. She had not been affected by the vaccine but her husband had been zombified and was pounding the door down. She had locked herself in the bathroom on waking up and seeing him gnashing his teeth and looking menacingly at her. The last thing Sven heard were her screams as the door gave way.

There was some commotion outside but sven wasn't interested. He just wanted the whole business over with
Klein was the strong one. He would take car of jenny like they promised. He would take care of everything.

There was some more commotion and Efe burst into the restroom. He jumped into the shower and put it on, letting the cold water splash on his face. Sven could hear his laboured breathing and frustrated sobs. The African boy had indeed loved their little girl.

He wiped the tears from his eyes and approached Efe who was facing the wall, his sobs turning to grunts of pain.

"Efe its alright, we'll get through this." Sven said.

Efe didn't answer but the sobs and grunts became more pronounced, more fierce. Wow. Sven said. This guy was really in pain.

"Come come, efe" he held his shoulder. "Its alright. You can cry ony shoulder if you want." He was trying to be strong like Klein. Let someone else lean on him for a change. The water from the shower poured on his head and some water entered his eyes, blurring his vision once more.

Efe was half crying, half growling now, and Sven's heart melted for the boy, for his lost love, for their loss, for all of them.

"Come, come here." Sven said as he turned Efe around to hug him.

The last thing he remembered was an intense painful pressure as Efe turned around suddenly and bit deep into his neck.

"For goodness sake, doctor!" Silas shouted as the jenny zombie tore an arm out of the body bag.

"A while longer, they are moving off." Dr Burke said, watching the monitor. The zombies outside were taking their sweet time. They kept shuffling back and forth within the dark corridor bit gradually some of them started to move away. Dr Burke heaved a sigh of relief. It was a good thing this door was soundproof or else the racket the jenny zombie was making would have kept the other zombies rooted to the spot.

"It's no use, this body bag is coming apart." Silas said. "Do you have any rope, doc?"

Dr Burke thought for a moment then reached into one of the drawers beneath the computer unit and brought out a stilex zip cord.

"This can hold a bull." He said and quickly freeing the zombie's arms, he tied it firmly behind her. He threw another one to Silas who tied her legs as Barry held it down. Klein was still leaning against the wall, his face a greenish colour.

Soon they had the zombie properly bound and just in time as she used her teeth to tear of the part of the bag holding jet head. Her neck was tilted at an odd angle but it didn't seem to bother her as she snapped her jaws from side to side.

"See." Klein said. "I did break her neck." And then he turned around and threw up on the floor."

"Jeez, man. " Silas said.

"I'm sorry. " Klein apologized.

"Well, its alright. " Dr Burke said, touching some buttons on the computer. " the zombies have all but moved off. Soon I'll open the door and..."

There was a scream and Michael ran into the computer room, bleeding from his left hand and closely followed by zombie efe and Sven as they shuffled as quickly as they could to finish up their meal.

"Holy shit!" Barry shouted as he ducked out of the way as zombie efe lurched at him, missing narrowly. There was essentially nowhere to run to as opening the door would lead them outside and the only other exit was being blocked by an advancing zombie Sven.

"They bit me!" Michael was yelling. " the modafukas bit me!"

"How long?" Silas yelled at Dr Burke who was looking around apprehensively.

"Five minutes for a well placed bite!" He shouted.

"Alright Michael," Silas said. "You have about five minutes to disable these zombies before you become one yourself. There's no helping you now but of you..."

"What are you crazy?!" Michael screamed. "I'm not turning into no zombie!" And he sucked at his wound, licking it for all he was worth.

"That won't work, Michael!" Silas said as Efe zombie fell over the still struggling jenny zombie and attacked her, thinking her to be alive. " please, I know this sounds terribly selfish but you are the only one that can approach them now since you have already been bitten you won't..."

"Bullshit!" Michael said and grabbed the shotgun from Barry's shaking hands. The zombie efe had realised zombie jenny was one of them and had stood up to return his attention back to Michael.Michael pointed the gun at the zombie efe's chest as it approached and pulled the trigger.

Nothing happened.

'Its jammed!" Michael said and screamed as efe grabbed his arm and bit down.

Klein stood against the wall, his massive frame shaking as his lover approached him.

"Sven? Sven, its me, Klein! Snap out of it Sven!"

Sven zombie smelled the aroma of sweat and fear coming out of Klein and it was gorgeous. It was the best smell it had ever experienced. The urge to chew and tear and eat was overwhelming and it rushed forward, oblivious of the screaming big man calling out his name.

Klein grabbed Sven, pushing the snapping jaws away from him and avoiding the clawing hands. Luckily for him Sven had been very particular about keeping shortnails so now the clawing had little effect. Heanaged to pin the zombie Sven's hands behind his back and keep the snapping head away from him.

"Calm down Sven, calm down!" He said as he slammed the zombie against the wall repeatedly. Suddenly Sven zombie relaxed. Klein waited a little but the struggling did not continue. Had he knocked the zombie out?

"Sven?" He called, relaxing his hands a little. "Sven can you hear me?"

Zombie Sven responded by suddenly pushing back with all its might. Klein stumbled backward and fell over the body of jenny zombie still on the floor. He fell just beside the snapping jaws. As jenny zombie bit his ear and cheek he noted with irony that she wouldnt have been able to reach him if he hadn't broken her neck at that odd angle.

"Holy shit! Holy shit!! Holy shit!!!" Barry screamed as he avoided being bitten by the now rabid Michael. Silas was struggling in the corner with zombie efe and Klein was holding zombie Sven down although there was already a deep bleeding gash in his cheek where zombie jenny had bitten him. She still snapped her jaws as she lay on the floor, munching on the flesh from Klein's face. Caleb used the butt of the gun to bash efe on the head but that simply infuriated the zombie further. It abandoned its pursuit of Barry and went after Caleb instead.

Dr Burke hung to the wall, gently easing his way I to the inner room. Everybody was too involved in thier life and death struggles to notice him. The situation had gone out of control and he had to contain it.

He managed to pass Silas and Zombie Efe grappling in the corner and jumped over Klein whose flesh was already turning white although he was still struggling to retain his personality. He was strong. For a fleeting moment Dr Burke wished he was the one who had entered the room with him...then the moment passes as Klein stopped strangling Sven and made a grab at him.

He backed away from all of them and entered the second room, the kitchen. He dived under the sink and looked around anxiously for a lever. His fingers finally closed on the hidden flat object and he pulled hard.

The door separating the kitchen from the computer room slid shut immediately.

There were screams of indignation from the other side but Dr Burke didn't care. He collapsed on the floor, his back against the wall and heaved a sigh of relief.
