mightyfada: When Aregbesola came to Uniosun for the convocation he said that he doesn't need the vote of Uniosun that he will enter. He said he's not interested in our school cause it was built by the pdp administration. This man hates Uniosun. So it's better I vote for the party that built the school then. You are a liar. Somebody that reduced your school fees by 50 percent is the same person that is not interested in UNIOSUN. Oloshi, opuro 1 Like |

Even GEJ confessed to the fact that infrastructural development is the next thing Nigeria need after seeing the bliss in lagos and other APC states. So at your age you want to tell me that you dont know that an aerodome in ido osun nt osogbo wil nt only improve osun's access to direct international and national commodities in large scale and cheap costs but also provide a means of foreign investment which is the reason how the world's second richest economy got wia it is. and many more benefits to count! You pple have no sense of innovation at all. |

dharrey2012: You are missing out something here. There are so many pressing issues in osun than airport. Not every town in USA has an airport despite their stable economy. Have u ever bn to Ibadan airport bfr, how many planes fly in everyday? 3 or maybe less. That's "almighty ibadan". Wats percentage of osun ppl will benefit from dis? Wouldn't it av bn a better idea to use dis billions to buy lyk 300 inter-state buses wc will b affordable to all?okay, since you say you av good intellects. On a scale of 10, assume osun's population as the given scale and tell me how much jobs the airport will provide to the population, also tell me how much jobs the buses wil provide. The last time i went to a garage to get a bus to ife, there were plenty of buses available to my destination and many others within osun, the drivers were even arguin on who wuld get me as his passenger. Also, in truth and fairness, estimate total foreign investment that could come in thru dat airport to osun. You should consider the fact that osun has more stable electricity than your "almighty ibadan" with which u were making comparison. Also, try to count the number of busines tycoons from neighbouring towns, cities and states that wil come and invest in diverse areas in osun because of this airport? Also consider long term benefits..the airport or 300buses?? 1 Like |

He said he's not interested in our school cause it was built by the pdp administration. This man hates Uniosun. So it's better I vote for the party that built the school then. who be this? Are you sure you are in Uniosun? Because you sound like a junior secondary student seriously. After Ogbeni reduced your school fees from an average of #250 000 to #75000. I'm not surprised you claimed to come from Uniosun. (Ingrate) Build ups to the August 9, 2014 governorship poll in Osun State took a new turn on Tuesday, when the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state alleged that students of Osun State University (UNIOSUN), Ejigbo campus, were selling their voter cards to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) agents for N10,000 each. Describing the development “as a shame and tragedy if it actually happened,” the APC lamented that “it speaks volumes on the quality of mind of those involved.” In a press statement signed by the party’s director of publicity, research and strategy in Osun State, Kunle Oyatomi, the APC implored “other students in that campus, or any other campus of the university, not to sell their birthright to criminals who did next to nothing to help them pay their education bills but actually increased school fees when they were in government.” The statement reads in part, “Osun State University students should be grateful to God in the first place that he brought Mr Rauf Aregbesola not only to reduce their school fees from an average of N200,000 to N75,000 but also to increase their bursary from N3,000 to N10,000 for others, and from N10,000 to N100,000 for law and medical students.” Reacting to the development, the governorship candidate of the PDP, Senator Iyiola Omisore, who spoke through his director of media and strategy, Prince Diran Odeyemi, said “APC as a party is just accusing the PDP of the exact plot or plan they are intending or already carrying out.” If they have such information, they should report quickly to the police or the authorities of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for necessary action,” he remarked, adding that the allegation was unfounded and laughable. However, the APC contended that “anybody who sells his voter card commits a crime against himself because the PDP has vowed to reverse everything Aregbesola has done in the state which means the university fees will revert to N200,000 if not more, that is totally beyond the capacity of parents in Osun to pay, while bursary will come down to N3,000 again.” It further called the authorities of UNIOSUN to intervene and make the students understand that by selling their voter cards, they were committing “academic suicide.” http://www.tribune.com.ng/news/news-headlines/item/4710-osun-2014-uniosun-students-are-selling-voter-cards-to-pdp-at-n10-000-apc-osun-deputy-gov-s-brother-others-dump-apc-for-pdp/4710-osun-2014-uniosun-students-are-selling-voter-cards-to-pdp-at-n10-000-apc-osun-deputy-gov-s-brother-others-dump-apc-for-pdp |
