Ice block business is a very good business.The demand for it is very high but you need to also have a marketing plan.The capital isn't fixed,which largely depends on how small you want to start.

The machines can be got in Nigeria,although,we have both imported and locally made here.

This is the season for the business and if you reside in Lagos,this is about the best time to start as you can recover your initial capital by Decemeber.

The availability of spare parts in Nigeria.

Yes, we have sold our machine to Nigeria for more than 10years, we never heard of they can't find spare parts in Nigeria, of course in another words, there is almost without tears and wears for this machine.


How long does it take for the machines to produce the ice block?

It is up to the weight & size of each block, for eg, 5kg ice block will take 4.8hours to roduce ice block, 20kg will take 8hours,etc.
We can check the forming time for you if you have the information on the size or weight of each ice block.

What is the capacity of the generator that will power the machine?

It's up to the capacity of the ice block machine. But our ice block machine is energy saving type, normally, it will save 20-30%
energy compare with the normal machine.


How many litres of diesel will the generator consume per working cycle?

It is same question as last one, it is up to the capacity of ice block machine.


How much will the ice block be sold?

As I know up to now, the 5kg ice block can be sold 0.7 dollar in Rain season, it is about USD1 in dry season .

Is it an all season business or a seasonal business?

The demands will be smaller in rain season, but as the wide usage of ice block, the business is not seasonal business .

Is it an everyday business or a weekend business?
Everyday business. As people won't only keep the fish fresh during weekend.
