It has been confirmed that the Liberian man , Mr. Patrick Sawyer, a WASH consultant at the Ministry of Finance, who had been quarantined since falling ill after arriving in Lagos for a conference last Sunday, has died

Health authorities in Nigeria announced yesterday , Thursday , that the 40-year-old man was being tested for the deadly Ebola virus in Lagos .His death is the first recorded case of one of the world's deadliest diseases in Nigeria , Ebola .

Ebola has killed 632 people across Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone since an outbreak began in February. The virus starts off with flu-like symptoms and often ends with horrific hemorrhaging (internal/external bleeding). It has infected about 1,048 people and killed an estimated 632.

There were rumors sometime that the people in the North were infected but the government debunked the rumors . So this his case is officially the first in Nigeria . Source : http://allafrica.com/stories/201407251025.html

And how did he get into the country. The passengers in the plane he boarded to nigeria, the taxi he entered, the people at the airport are all in danger of being affected already. When a finger touches oil, it easily reaches others.

When Fashola wanted to act by destroying slums like makoko ,they called him names.they said that he wasn't fair to the poor,he is elitist etc.
Only in Nigeria would making a place liveable be considered elitist .

So sad. Lagos state government should keep him under serious quarantine for now. Hope it hasn't spread. God rest his soul. And God help us.
