hello fam... Am a silent follower of this thread but the profiles am seeing is really making scared. I got a 2.2 3.34/5 am currently undergoing intense prep for GRE. My question is with this my low CGPA can it fly for funding if i get other things right like GRE,Toefl and my SOP and which program should i apply for to get funding easily Phd or masters. I need replies from the gurus in the house.

I don't think your cgpa is as low as you think. Infact, you should stand a little above 3.0/4.0 on the WES scale which is usually the benchmark for most good engineering programs. That being said, you should focus on the other parts of your application - GRE/TOEFL, LOR, SOP. You should aim for a GRE score of 320+ with a quant score of 160+. You can do it! Funding in that case will be very plausible. Maybe just not from highly ranked schools.

It is always difficult to suggest schools because you are the only one that know yourself and what's important to you. If you go through these thread I am sure you will see some schools people have applied to and gotten accepted. You can also come up with schools that are not yet popular in here and in turn open the doors for others when you get in.
Personally I am not a fan of Cleveland state, I think you should aim higher considering your GPA.

Neither of the two. You should learn and understand the meaning of the word in context and different usage in sentences.

Personally, I don't think memorising loads of words help so much. With an average understanding of words structure and understanding the question structure itself, you can score many good points. Look at Magoosh frequently used or appearing words.They help alot. I remember seeing the word 'hodgepodge' on my second GRE. I first learned it from Magoosh Android app.

Your understanding of the comprehension passage will definitely increase if you have much time to read the passages and answer the questions. Unfortunately, on the test day, you don't have that luxury. However, with some techniques , you can score well in that section. If you have been a reader of quality literature, you can nail those questions without much stress.

I personally focused on getting most of my sentence equivalent and text completion questions right. With the techniques I learned from Manhattan, I scored well in that area. I deduced that from the official test diagnostics.

Also, do alot of practice test. Kaplan have improved their online tests. They are really close to the actually test questions. The practice test questions are free online. You can do a timed test, set a test on only areas of your weakness or strength also. It is really good and helpful.

Not up to 24hours ago that I called B.Y maffit’s customer care centre when I was hoping to pay 45k for my GRE registration but to my greatest surprise they said they’ve stopped thier “one time promo” . enabling the amount to go back to its usual price of 90k.
