Peter Obi Falls Out With Obiano by FreeGlobe(f): 7:07am On Jul 29, 2014
AWKA—There is intense pressure on the former governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, to decamp from the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Sources said in Awka yesterday that pressure had been mounting on Obi to decamp from his party, in view of alleged strained relation between him and his political godson, Chief Willie Obiano.

However, Obi’s Media Assistant, Val Obienye, said his principal would not dump APGA as he had no reasons to so.

Obienye had been asked to comment on news making the rounds that Obi planned to decamp from APGA, along with some members of the House of Representatives, including Mrs. Uche Ekwunife and Emeka Mogbo, among others.

He, however, said that the pressure on Obi to decamp from the party did not start yesterday as late President Umaru Yar’Adua had also tried unsuccessfully to lure him out of APGA.

‘’The former governor has made it clear that he will not leave APGA for any party. His body language does not suggest so.

“Late President Yar’Adua did his best to get him out of APGA but did not succeed. The former governor has character. He is not planning to do such a thing.

‘’It is also not true that he (Obi) has any quarrel with the governor of Anambra State, Chief Obiano. There is no need for that. Obi handed over power to Obiano for good. Since he handed over power to Obiano, he has not travelled to Anambra State. He has nothing to quarrel with Obiano for because, he has no pending issue or issues.’’

For ur mind! cheesy Obi has already refused to join PDP,that was why he was not made the minister of aviation.and I think JONATHAN IS PLAYIN POLITICS OF DESPERATION;imagine Peter obi supported and mobilsed APGA members to vote for JONA in the presidential election, withou him convertin TO PDP,so why is the president forcing him to dump APGA?thank god obi has conscience so he won't descend so low.

Anambra people like a performing governor and obiano is performing. He is becoming a very popular figure by his performance so far. If peter obi thinks he still has any relevance in Anambra, let him test his relevance by leaving obiano.

Peter Obi handed over power, he left Anambra state and he hasnt travelled to Anambra ever since, WTF?

what is wrong with the igbo man? Why do you all keeping running away from igboland? Your youths are running away from igboland, your elderly are running away from igboland, even your leaders and former governors are running away and they arent going back home

Peter obi looted the anambra state treasury dry, he built a shopping mall in abuja whilst neglecting his own state and he hasnt travelled back home since he handed over power

They are human, so i don't expect them to get along all the time. Morever, APGA is an extension of PDP directly/indirectly.

People voted for their choice; The Governor did not mobilize People. And besides, everyone loved GEJ then and did not see any other good candidate for d post except him.... So stop saying Peter Obi (or an other governor) mobilised the people

They voted because they "loved him"?(past tense)so they don't like him again? He has ran out of "good luck"?next timetime they will tink twice before voting for som1 wu didn't "have shoes",because it seems like TOO MUCH TRECKING WITHOUT SHOES AFFECTS THE BRAIN. lipsrsealed cool...according to a recent research by Otuoke University cool

Obi is a neophyte politician.
Since he handed over to Obiano, he danced around GEJ so much, seeking relevance or new post only for Chidoka to snatch the ministerial crown from his head.
Or does he think he can snatch Pius Anyim's post? He should leave politics and become a pastor for a change.

My only pity for Ndi Anambra is the pathetic game Obi and Umeh played against Soludo for selfish interest (Umeh gets paid and Obi for a Presidential appointment).

This could have been a massive leap for Anambra State.

Cry me an Ocean; Obi is an Anambra icon and nothing anybody do will stain his name.
Anambra and Obiano will spill their blood to see that people like you and freeglobe doesn't dent the beautiful image Obi has built. Freeglobe is so bitter and sad he run around like a fool trying to cause bad blood between Obi and Obiano. But these gentleman are so mature, wealthy and civilized even before they ventured into politics. Anybody that believes this freeglobe is a goat. Peter Obi personally adviced Obiano to join politics and told him he has What it takes to govern the state. Oseloka Obaze, the current SSG was gonna be the governor but he was screened out due to not having a voters registration card. Apga is a movement of wise people not some money hungry, corrupt and dishonest individuals.

Even if it is true does that mean they are not in good terms.
People fail to understand the kind of man Obi is;This is a very peaceful and down to earth gentleman who doesn't wanna meddle into peoples affairs. Obiano is the governor now, hence the need for Obi to give him some space to do his job. This a common sense....let the man do his job.

Odenigbo stop praising Obi, he can't be trusted, he has great criminal mind

Obiano at some point will refuse to allow the huge monthly deductions from the State account meant for the upkeep of Umeh and co.
When he appreciates the magnitude of the work to be done in the state and the limitations of the revenue, he will make a passionate appeal to some of these unrepentant and merciless political parasites to take a cut. Of course, like motor park touts they will never take less and that is the problem.

Obiano should handle these issues wisely because any internal battles will definitely hamper the developmental drive of his administration
