Today is the first time I'm crying in more than 17 years , considering I'm only 20 years old I guess its a big deal.
I am an executive in my department ,today we visited an orphanage for those of you in Owerri , you may know the place ,red cross orphanage by ware house, as we went in to the building ,I was still my jolly self .
I started looking at the children and carrying some , my fellow excos were snapping pictures .
I then saw a boy about 7 years of age, I asked him his name he then muttererd something in comprehensible ,it then dawned on me that he is a special child .it hit me, these children didn't have parents ,they have been abandoned, left ,forsaken and they could still find reason to smile and laugh.
I couldn't take it ,look at me, I have everything I need ,but I still grumbled ,wanted more . I just left for our bus and cried and cried , God it was so painful these children touched a part of me that has been buried .
I cried and cried
