Hi, i need one or two professional writers who will assist me with some writings. My rate is $4/500 words. Please, i need serious writers who understand all the rules of grammar. This project is more of a rewriting task. as i will provide 80% of the materials for you. anytime i award this project, i need at least 500 words within 24 hours from the writers. So, you don't need to overwork yourself. And the research topic (article) is SOCIAL MEDIA. So, if you know about social media and if you can write very well, then this job is for you. Please, note that i will not pay for any poorly written write-up. If you are the type who assembles disparate ideas into one paragraph, this job is not for you. Most importantly, i won't accept any plagiarised work let alone a write-up repleted with grammatical errors. If you can meet or surpass my expectations, of course, i will add at least $1 tip. If you are interested, feel free to send me a message. Thank you.
I am interested bro.

I think you should discard the part where you said you are open to sample writing, you shouldnt include that on your profile, else you would be taken advantage of.

Hi,

I checked the link here are my submissions:

1. Your profile isn't a focused one. I see so many profession hiding in one single profile; remember you are selling "a brand" If I may ask, what are you selling? I see:

A Writer( article writing, article rewriting)
A Researcher,
A proofreader an editor
A Typist,
An Administrative officer
A data processor
An internet researcher
A web searcher
A graphic designer (Microsoft word, excel, Corel draw, conversion of word to PDF)

2. You need to change your tittle because it totally disagree with your first sentence. Use "Adept Data Processor" or Professional Proofreading and Editing Service

3. Your tittle doesn't fit the content in your overview. If you are a Writer, Researcher, Proofreading(er) and editing(or)

Your profile should sound something like this:

A Professional Proofreader/Editor with over 8 years of experience in the publishing industry. I bring promptness, meticulous attention to details and genuine enthusiasm for the work. 5 years of years in the field of Education has made me adept in the art of clear, informative and colourful communication.

The above simply is an example of a tailored (focus) overview. A client who needs an editor or proofreader should be please he/she is reading from one.

4. Please remove this " I am willing to wite a 100 words article as sample for you" trust me every one will be asking you for sample, instead build a robust sample portfolio

5. From my deductions You are either an Editor-Proofreader or a Data Processor Specialist so choose!

Been a Writer of course align with proofreading/editing. What doesn't are:

- Typist
- Administrative officer
- data processor
- Internet researcher
- web searching
- Graphic designing
- Microsoft word
- Excel
- Corel draw
- Conversion of word to PDF

I totally understand how Freelancer.com is " chasing every job post" but trust me most client out there take what I have mentioned into consideration. In other freelancing sites like upwork etc you can't fly with these flaws. However, because of the Sallah Season I will reconstruct your profile Free of Charge for you even with the way it is. (but should use it only on freelancer.com). Only if I read your reply to this post.

Shalom!

@ladywriter

Pls help.
Its been 3 weeks, still awaiting to be awarded. I have placed about 7 bids In the course of 3weeks. Yet no show. I have learnt a couple of things though.

Firstly, my profile pics now has a nice pic of me.
Secoundly, I have learn to write better proposals when bidding for a job ( might not be the best, but its far better than when I just started.
Thirdly, I'm thinking of learning a new skill, android application development.
Lastly, I'm studying top bidders profile to see how I can improve mine and make it more professional

Also I mistyped my phone number the last time, so pls if you tried to reach me via whattsapp. I appologise

My watsapp number is 08121486465

Thanks @ladywriter. I eagerly await your response

7 bids in 3 WEEKS and you expect to get a project Bro freelancer is a competitive market, even most established writers with over 500 reviews place over 15 bids daily. The more you devout your time and persevere you will succeed. Get a membership plan (either Basic and Plus) and start placing bids with excellent proposals. There are tons of sample proposals on this thread, goodluck

Hmmm! Bro. 7 bids in three weeks! You are joking right? I bid on at least 3-5 projects PER DAY. The more you bid, the better your chances of winning. You don't have to wait for the employer to award the project before you bid on other projects. So, go back there and start bidding on at least 3 projects per day. You need to also check the quality of your proposal. @Indestructible and Tooltip provided samples of proposal on this thread. Check from page 80-90, you will see the sample. Use it to craft your own sample and bid more on projects. Blessings!

Kudos to ladywriter for selflessly empowering people. This thread is more than just introduction of an existing but not too known honey pot, it excels in training newbies on the "how" of the business.

I only knew about fiverr, although never worked there till now despite that I have registered since 2013, Lady writer got me to know about freelancer and also work on it.

I started work in April but wasn't very committed, I have offline hustles I have to go after. Within my first month, I was still able to get no less than $200 worth of writing project. After that I relaxed partly due to my faulty laptop battery, the competitiveness of the site and scanty rating I had. To cut the long story short, last month, I resumed work on the site in my spare time. Luckily for me, I was able to get quick job that midnight to help an Indian client complete the US English Language Test on the site. I actually beat another Nigerian to the job (lesson: always be online to reply potential employers). I passed the test sharp sharp, 95%. The guy was impressed and asked for my specialty and then my mobile number.

Approximately a week later, the guy came with a technical job that I never knew anything about cos he is a computer networking guy. But thanks to my research and writing skills, I delivered the job BEFORE deadline and he was impressed with my reliability and excellent writing (at least to him). Since then he has always keep knocking with projects in the IT field. He has lots of clients (students) he gets job from and he confessed he's not really the writing type. So I get to do most of the projects now. He even pays me more that the $5 per 500 words we negotiated in the beginning, plus bonuses to keep me motivated. Now he just asks me what I want from the little he also charges his clients. I hardly bid on freelancer except when I'm less busy. I still keep my offline work, I teach in the day.

So who says all Indians are mean? In 3 weeks, the guy has paid me over $300 (still small but don't forget I'm a part time freelancer). I cashed out my money through HISENJOS as I have no payoneer card.

So fellow newbie freelancers, these are my pieces of advice:
Be hardworking
Always strive for quality; that's what will give you repeat business.
Endeavour, if you can to submit work before deadline. (Never miss a deadline; if at all you will, inform your client beforehand). This will prove to your employer that you are reliable and capable.
Don't seek short cut, the easy way e.g using automated software to rewrite. If you can't do it, don't accept it (I've rejected some offers too on the site, believe me)
Don't be too desperate but be tactically professional (I don't give free samples; the two times I wrote free samples, I had the word of my employer to pay for the samples if the eventually liked them and that they did).
Stay online whenever you are bidding. I have the freelancer mobile app to chat up clients if at all I'm not at my system.
Keep bidding until you win.
Refine your profile and most especially your proposal. Let it be tailor made to the project you are bidding on.

Then keep bidding.........I say keep bidding until we buy our new ride like madam philanthropist ladywriter........ grin grin grin grin grin.

N.B: I'm still a learner with very few reviews (My Indian guy pays me for new projects through past projects at times, I only need to create new invoice). But I know u can get better.

Full testimony coming soon. Although, I'm planning to go to oil and gas soon lolz. But before then, freelancer must milk for me.

Happy Sunday.

Apology: I'm sorry for the epistle, I'm just a writer trying to keep the story short.

I believe it would be unfair not to share my 'testimony' too. I registered on freelancer this month, after reading the long posts from the first page to the last. to the skeptics in the house, freelancer is real, more than real, it is a gold mine for hard working people.
of course, things weren't always smooth and they were times when I needed help, shout out to @chidinho and @ladywriter, but with no little determination and baba God, I am growing and still learning on freelancer.

Pls help, I cant create a gig on fiverr. I have been on it for two days but it keeps rejecting it. Whenever i click on the Next tab, it takes me to the title of my gig. I have changed the title severally but still the same problem. Someone should pls come to my rescue and point out what I'm not doing right.

Thats awesome dear! I no hear from you again, whatsup nau? Keep striving and the sky will be your starting point!
