Former Political Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, Ahmed Gulak, has declared his intention to contest the Adamawa State governorship seat on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Addressing his campaign coordinators and PDP delegates from the 21 local government areas of the state in Yola, Gulak said his aspiration to become governor was borne out of desire to improve the living condition of the people of the state.
He called on PDP members in the state to give him the opportunity to implement his blue print that envisages a brighter future for the state in all sectors of the economy.
Asked about his current relationship with the presidency after his removal from office, the former presidential aide insisted that he enjoys cordial relationship with both the presidency and the PDP at all levels.
He however denied speculation that a candidate might be imposed on the state from the PDP leadership in Abuja, saying President Jonathan and the party support the emergence of popular candidate.
