I tried downloading with Spectranet, 200KB/s. Last time i tried swift, 450KB/s. And both were limited plans.

The MTN cheat i am using downloads at 1MB/s and it's unlimited. Do you see my concern now? Look at the picture below, a chat between me and my Indian IT friend from 2 days back i think.

i cannot believe it too .. i download a 1 GB file in just about 2-3mins . . maximum . i am non the normal plan . ..
but i live on a high rise building and i stay on the topmost floor . . so the network is at its maximum capacity . . .
secondly, i can see 2 network mast just outside my window . . so i've got full 3G - 4G . on etisalat, mtn, glo, airtel swift
smile, spectranet . . all networks except visafone . .
i guess am lucky !!!

Location please! Cause I'm contemplating getting a visaphone blackberry or a spectranet modem. But this one you said visaphone is not working.

Visafone just shows 1x here (synonymous to EDGE) so it would be slow as f**k . . . You need EVDO/Rev.A (synonymous to 3G) to browse at a decent (yet snail-speed download) on visafone . .
Location for speedtest was Lekki - Epe expressway !!!
