African Textile Manufacturers Ltd (A.T.M.), Challawa-Kano was incorporated in January 1980. But the actual activities of the company commenced only in January 1998. The company started from her present Head office at No. 53 Fagge Takudu, Kano, Nigeria.



The company’s area of specialization is the production of the African and wax prints. Our products have brand names as Crowntex, Duniya, Queentex, FESTAC, WAZOBIA and Abada Real wax. These products are very popular for fashionable dress fabrics and have a consistent demand in the traditional African markets and in many other African countries. The products of the company have been well established in the market and we are at par with existing market leader in terms of quality. THOSE that doubted the take-off of the multi-billion naira project, christened as Ado Bayero Mall, have now been proven otherwise as its first group of tenants led by Shoprite, the South African retail chain last week commenced business operations within the expansive and exotic mall.





The takeoff of the mall, according to investors, will no doubt lend credence to rebirthing Kano’s historic reputation as a trading and commercial centre in Northern Nigeria. It will also serve as a major link for commerce on the Trans-Saharan trade route.



Messrs. Alpine Investment Services Limited, which is promoting the mall, said “the mall will be the first of its kind in Northern Nigeria and as such is poised to trigger a host of innovative developments in urban planning in and around the sub-region. With its state of the art design and construction, Ado Bayero Mall aims to change the face of commerce in Kano and pay homage to the city’s historic position as one of the most important commercial hubs in Africa.”

Situated in a neighborhood defined by a well balanced mix of commercial and residential properties, the mall is located near major access roads such as the Zaria –Maiduguri Highways, and is also adjacent to major landmarks such as Kano Trade Fair Complex and the historic Kano Zoo on Zoo road. This high-profile location guarantees easy access and visibility for all tenants and shoppers.

The young and enterprising Usman Dantata Jr., who is married to Rukaiya Indimi, daughter of multi-billionaire Borno businessman Mohammed Indimi, is the president/CEO of Anadariya Farms. The large poultry farm, which is located in Tiga, Bebeji local government area of Kano State, was started by the late business sage of Kano, Alhaji Usman Sanusi Dantata of the Dantata dynasty, in the 1960s. Anadariya Farms thrived well in poultry produce. For instance, it was noted for exporting poultry birds and eggs to Saudi Arabia twice a week using a Boeing 747 plane.

The CEO came with refined vigour, to ensure the farm maintains a successful track record. He has a background in investment and banking and was a trader of various commodities in Europe before coming back to Nigeria. He also has a certificate in feed production and broiler management obtained in North Carolina. Suffice it to say that he had equipped himself with the necessary training before stepping into the business.

This wealth of experience and pool of relevant knowledge may have been the reason for his decision to expand the services and operations of the farm to include a hatchery, production of broilers and layers, the production of feeds and the processing and sale of poultry products. Anadariya Farms produces above 3, 000 broilers weekly. This is one of Nigeria’s most viable farms, with its growing, diverse agricultural activities.

The problem with the North as it is with Nigeria and black people as a whole is not that we do not have INDIVIDUAL bright spots & stars.
Rather it is that we do not have the CRITICAL MASS of people to make us relevant in the comity of NATIONS.
A tree does NOT make a forest.


These INDIVIDUAL stars of the North will do well to ensure their people are educated MASSIVELY and in good health.
Just as ONE example, it is very SHAMEFUL that a Bill Gates will be funding the eradication of polio and other diseases in the north & Nigeria when we have these "Lions"
