Thank @PapiWata. let me quickily say that when you start ingesting coconut oil newly, depending on your system, you may have some die off effect especially if it detects anything like Fungal in your system. Example of die off effect could be sore throat, a feeling of throwing up, purging etc. It's not applicable to all but just watch your system to know how it responds to it.

Meanwhile, I didn't recomend taking 5 spoons of this oil, i only shared my experience even though some people take more that daily. Besides, I can't go a day without taking at least 2-3 spoons in the morning before workout or after workout. Note: when you start ingesting this oil newly, it's always a good idea to start with a spoon or half so that your body can adjust to the new reality.

However, the fat structure in coconut oil is totally different from that of other oils. coconut oil contains mostly Medium Chain Triglycerides. The body mostly does not store it as fat but makes use of it like carbohydrate but without the insuline spike. It's usually sent to the liver for the production of quick energy. meanwhile, the normal cooking oils like palm, canola and most of the vegetable oils are [b]Long Chain Triglycerides [/b]with a more complex structure. They have a different breakdown path way and takes more time and the body mostly store them as fat.

Coconut oil is usually taken as a supplement by ingesting it directly. But when taken in excess can cause diarrhea.
