"A man's foes will be those of his own household," saith Jesus. And
he further clarified those words by stating, "A prophet is not without
honour except in his own country AND IN HIS OWN HOUSE." Thus he
advised his followers that "every one who has left houses OR BROTHERS
OR SISTERS OR FATHER OR MOTHER OR CHILDREN or lands, for my name's
sake, will receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life."

How true those words are can be seen today in the life of The Ikoro,
with the fact that one of the major things that is yet barring me from
rising above the adversary is that fact that I am still tied (down) to the apron
strings of the family I have been led to believe I was born into - most especially
because all apart from the elect (all, including - and most especially - the folly set in high
places) continue to believe, or to give the impression that they believe
I have a family apart from The Pride of Machismo Renaissance. Thus any action
I would that I take - even at the age of forty - continues being referred back to the
father that is no father, for consideration. Despite the renunciation of that family
that would I believe I was born into it (a renunciation so thorough that it has been
accompanied not only by a change in my name, be it official or otherwise; but also by
a will written partly to state specifically that I be buried only by my Pride - and
by no other, not even a supposed family - upon my death) the folly set in high places,
and its equally foolish counterparts in other places, continue to pay deference to the
words of a supposed father, or a supposed mother. With not even a thing as tangible as
space between their ears, they never stop to remember the following words of
The Christ....

"For whoever does the will of my Father in Heaven is my
brother, and sister, and mother;"

and they never stop to consider the fact that it is the fatherless only
that bear the anguish I have shouldered as burden for over two decades
and more. Ever resorting to the most senseless reasons for their folly,
they will point out such facts as that which sees I still live in my supposed
father's house; and thus prove (as far as their limited reason is
concerned) that I remain under the authority of that father - and
they will not stop to consider the fact that true parents always
would their children overshadow them (or, at the very least, step into their
shoes) rather than feed on the sufferings they present as breast-milk,
even up to the age of forty. Thus the foes that the father and the mother
are to me, today - foes that I grew up calling Daddy and Mummy - can be seen
not only in the sufferings I have endured for over two decades (which even children
from much less priveleged homes are completely ignorant of) but
also in the fact that the child supposed to be father of the man continues to be
fathered by the man, even with the advent of grey hair.
