Given the controversies that had trailed population census data in the past, the chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), Chief Eze Duruiheoma, has reiterated that the 2016 census will erase the past errors through the deployment of sophisticated gadgets.

Speaking during a courtesy call by the National Security Training Seminar team from the Defence Intelligence School in Abuja, Duruiheoma stated that the commission was working hard to ensure a credible and reliable demographic data by 2016.

According to him, managing the country’s population through credible outcomes of data, will bring about improvements in the economic well-being of individuals.

“It is almost true that if the population of a country is well managed, it should naturally translate to prosperity and economic well-being of every person.

“There lies the basic relationships between our responsibility and the security needs of our country because it takes away economic prosperity and well-being. ”

Leader of the delegation from the Intelligence School, Mrs Chinyelum Usman, in her remarks, noted that the visit was to acquaint the delegation on how critical the commission is to national security.She said training in the school is geared towards enhancing human capacity development in tackling security challenges.

The people from the southern and middle belt of the country will be glad to have a credible census.

The current Nigeria census figure is a total fraud.A situation where cattle,goats and human legs are counted as human beings is laughable.

It's one thing to organise a credible census, it's another thing to announce a credible result.

The last election was there, announcing the result, days after the election. Doctoring the result.
