43 Proofs To Show That Jesus Is A Myth by Addietunes(m): 5:21pm On Aug 22, 2014
What if you find out that everything you believed is Just a Myth? What if you find out that your faith is build on a Story... A story that was stolen from an ancient folklore? What if someone tells you that Christianity is a lie, Jesus Never Existed & it was just a story stolen from ancient mythologies! How would you feel then?

Many scholars & philosophers have pointed out parallels between Jesus & mythical figures like Horus, Dionysus (Orpheus Bacchus) & Attis. This controversial theory that our beloved Jesus Christ was just a Myth, a story probably stolen from the life event of Egyptian mythical God Horus' or influenced by the Greek mythology is not completely new to us. The 46 parallels between Jesus & Horus has been a hot topic over years. Since it constantly failed to gain significant public attention, the opponents of this concept so far refused to take it seriously. However, the supporters of this theory kept claiming that the Government & the Church has played a significant role to keep it out of public attention.

The Sun-god Horus was worshipped nearly 1,000 years before the story of Jesus. Now check these parallels:

1.Both were conceived of a virgin.
2.Both were the "only begotten son" of a god (either Osiris or Yahweh)
3.Horus's mother was Meri, Jesus's mother was Mary.
4.Horus's foster father was called Jo-Seph, and Jesus's foster father was Joseph.
5.Both foster fathers were of royal descent.
6.Both were born in a cave (although sometimes Jesus is said to have been born in a stable).
7.Both had their coming announced to their mother by an angel.
Horus; birth was heralded by the star Sirius (the morning star). Jesus had his birth heralded by a star in the East (the sun rises in the East).
8.Ancient Egyptians celebrated the birth of Horus on December 25 (the Winter Solstice). Modern Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25.
9.Both births were announced by angels.
10.Both had shepherds witnessing the birth.
11.Horus was visited at birth by "three solar deities" and Jesus was visited by "three wise men".
12.After the birth of Horus, Herut tried to have Horus murdered. After the birth of Jesus, Herod tried to have Jesus murdered.
13.To hide from Herut, the god That tells Isis, "Come, thou goddess Isis, hide thyself with thy child." To hide from Herod, an angel tells Joseph to "arise and take the young child and his mother and flee into Egypt."
14.When Horus came of age, he had a special ritual where hsi eye was restored. When Jesus (and other Jews) come of age, they have a special ritual called a Bar Mitzvah.
15.Both Horus and Jesus were 12 at this coming-of-age ritual. Neither have any official recorded life histories between the ages of 12 and 30.
16.Horus was baptized in the river Eridanus. Jesus was baptized in the river Jordan.
17.Both were baptized at age 30.
18.Horus was baptized by Anup the Baptizer. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.
19.Both Anup and John were later beheaded.
20.Horus was taken from the desert of Amenta up a high mountain to be tempted by his arch-rival Set. Jesus was taken from the desert in Palestine up a high mountain to be tempted by his arch-rival Satan.
21.Both Horus and Jesus successfully resist this temptation.
22.Both have 12 disciples.
23.Both walked on water, cast out demons, healed the sick, and restored sight to the blind.
24.Horus "stilled the sea by his power." Jesus commanded the sea to be still by saying, "Peace, be still."
25.Horus raised his dead father (Osiris) from the grave. Jesus raised Lazarus from the grave. (Note the similarity in names when you say them out loud. Further, Osiris was also known as Asar, which is El-Asar in Hebrew, which is El-Asarus in Latin.)
26.Osiris was raised in the town of Anu. Lazarus was raised in Bethanu (literally, "house of Anu"wink.
27.Both gods delivered a Sermon on the Mount.
28.Both were crucified.
29.Both were crucified next to two thieves.
30.Both were buried in a tomb.
31.Horus was sent to Hell and resurrected in 3 days. Jesus was sent to Hell and came back "three days" later (although Friday night to Sunday morning is hardly three days).
32.Both had their resurrection announced by women.
33.Both are supposed to return for a 1000-year reign.
34.Horus is known as KRST, the anointed one. Jesus was known as the Christ (which means "anointed one"wink.
35.Both Jesus and Horus have been called the good shepherd, the lamb of God, the bread of life, the son of man, the Word, the fisher, and the winnower.
36.Both are associated with the zodiac sign of Pisces (the fish).
37.Both are associated with the symbols of the fish, the beetle, the vine, and the shepherd's crook.
38.Horus was born in Anu ("the place of bread"wink and Jesus was born in Bethlehem ("the house of bread"wink.
39."The infant Horus was carried out of Egypt to escape the wrath of Typhon. The infant Jesus was carried into Egypt to escape the wrath of Herod. Concerning the infant Jesus, the New Testament states the following prophecy: 'Out of Egypt have I called my son.'"
40.Both were transfigured on the mount.
41.The catacombs of Rome have pictures of the infant Horus being held by his mother, not unlike the modern-day images of "Madonna and Child."
Noted English author C. W. King says that both Isis and Mary are called "Immaculate".
42.Horus says: "Osiris, I am your son, come to glorify your soul, and to give you even more power." And Jesus says: "Now is the Son of Man glorified and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once."

43. Horus was identified with the Tau (cross). Jesus & Christianity is also symbolized by the cross.

As a bonus, Christians worship their God on Sundays (sun-day, a day set aside to worship the sun god, horus).

If you are still confused you can Google your questions.

I copied these from the source:

"Some Counter Arguements

1) Horus was born of the virgin Isis-Meri on December 25th in a cave/manger with his birth being announced by a star in the East and attended by three wise men.

The virginity of Isis is debatable. She was married to Osiris, and there is no reason to suppose she was abstinent after marriage. Horus was, per the story, miraculously conceived. Seth had killed and dismembered Osiris, then Isis put her husband's dead body back together except the genital part.

Horus was given three different birthdates in mythology, one of which does correspond to December 25th. But since Jesus wasn't, per the evidence, born on 12/25, this isn't a parallel.

"Meri" (technically "Mr-ee"wink is the egyptian word for "beloved" and was apparently applied to Isis prior to Jesus' time, as a title, not as part of her name.

2) He was of royal descent.

This one's true! But again debatable. When followers speak of Jesus being of 'royal descent', they usually mean His being a descendant of King David, an earthly king. Horus was, according to the myth, descended from heavenly royalty (as Jesus was), being the son of the main god.

3) He had 12 disciples, two of whom were his "witnesses" and were named "Anup" and "Aan" (the two "Johns"wink.

Horus had four disciples (called ‘Heru-Shemsu’). There’s another reference to sixteen followers, and a group of followers called ‘mesnui’ (blacksmiths) who join Horus in battle, but are never numbered. But there’s no reference to twelve followers or any of them being named “Anup” or “Aan”.

4)He performed miracles, exorcised demons and raised El-Azarus ("El-Osiris"wink, from the dead.

He did perform miracles, but he never exorcised demons or raised his father from the dead. Also, Osiris is never referred to as ‘El-Azarus’ or ‘El-Osiris

5) Horus was called "the KRST," or "Anointed One."

He was never referred to by either of these titles. "Krst", in Egyptian, means "burial", by the way. It wasn't a title.

6)Like Jesus, "Horus was supposed to reign one thousand years."

No mention of this in Egyptian mythology.

7) He was also the "Way, the Truth, the Light," "Messiah," "God’s Anointed Son," the "Son of Man," the "Good Shepherd," the "Lamb of God," the "Word made flesh," the "Word of Truth," etc.

The only titles Horus is given are “Great God”, “Chief of the Powers”, “Master of Heaven”, and “Avenger of His Father”. None of the above titles are in any Egyptian mythology.

And One Last Question...

Like all Conspiracy theories, this theory doesn't lead to a firm conclusion. Since, its just another hypothesis & not a widely accepted proven fact, our religious community doesn't need to worry about it yet. However, the only thing that freaks me out is the number of such huge parallels! Just look at the size of the list! Are all of them false? Do you think the whole list is fake? Or are all of these parallels just coincidence?

And one last question: Why do Christians go to church on Sunday? Why on Sunday?

Maybe...Because its Sun(day)! Sunday for the Sun God (Horus) !

Just another coincidence, eh?"

You don't need 43 because three would do just fine.

1) his story is in the bible.

2) he performed magic tricks

3) he crawled out of a virgin's a$$ after the virgin got f#cked by a holy ghost.

Another comment:

The Romans wanted to have the best Super-God figure in the history of mankind. This god was supposed to give them spiritual strength to fight and win wars. Many scriptures were altered, new ones were created, others were destroyed, etc....in order to mold the Jesus figure into their desired Super-God. Most of these Jesus qualities came from many gods and religions, not just Horus.

? Yahweh is the obvious one. If they rip-off Judaism, then will get many of their followers in the process...and they did! Islam thought this was a great idea. So they followed suit.

? Greek gods: many qualities taken from these. Dionysus, was the first who turned water into wine. Jesus learned this trick from him. Alpha & Omega was a term used for a Greek god.

? And many other qualities, even going as far back as Zoroastrianism, which you can research....

Christianity also made concessions in order to make itself similar to what the people were used to. For example, Roman women looked up to the virgin Isis-Meri as a female role model. They celebrated her in the summer by parading in the streets of Rome. When Christianity took over, it gave women the virgin Mary as a role model. She was immediately adopted and the summer celebrations continued as usual, and still continue to this very day, every August 15, for a whole week.

In fact, she became so popular with women and men, that in 1950, the Pope declared that she was holy, and equivalent to a god. Mary worship is alive and well with the Catholics and Orthodox worldwide. She is known to perform many miracles daily throughout the world.

I feel sorry for the Protestants... they will burn in Hell for crossing Mary off their worship list....tsk, tsk!

Nice hub!
