Kobian launched their first Mercury Tablet the mTab, back in the tail quarter of 2011. It proved to be just above average, however, in the budget tablet division, while keeping the price under N30, 000 ($185.29). Their latest announcement is of the upgraded version of the same device only now infused with 3G capabilities and dual SIM support.

The Mercury mTab Star M831G features a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels. The device is powered by a 1GHz dual core Cortex A9 processor and is based on the MediaTek chipset.
