The Rivers State Government have completed her third Hospital since Amaechi assumes office with the General Hospital at Etche and Bori both at their various stages of completion increasing them to five in numbers. These excludes the over 150 model Health Centres the state have already spread across the state.
The state is well known for her free health care once an individual is registered in any of her nearest health centre. Same goes for her hospital and cottages

The State is a also building a multi billion naira mega hospital at Greater Port Harcourt that can contained more than 1000 bed spaces.

It will be recalled Kelson Specialist Hospital at Diobu and Maxilofacial Hospital at Garrison were delivered and since been put to use. They are currently run by Canadians under the watch of the state ministry of health. Health services in these hospitals are free of charge provided patients are recommended by doctors at different state health centres.

Now APC would start bragging with these three hospitals even though he started building the hospitals when he was still in PDP, APC have gotten something that would keep them busy.

I see pained Jonathanians "criticizing" this laudable project when their boss in Aso Rock has made incompetency his trademark. One would expect these PDP fans to create a thread and show us the hospital that their Govs has built or better still the ones Jonathan built in Bayelsa State as President.

People are missing the point here. Is not about the building though nice but the structures health system is run in Rivers State is amazing. The form triangular chain where every health buildings serve her different purposes. For example. The referral Hospitals (Kelson and Maxilofacial ) only attends to patients on recommendations. The idea is to encourage people to make use of the primary health centres where not too difficult ailments and pregnancy are taken care of. If more people use the health centres. The pressure on the secondary will reduce.

The tertiary which is the UPTH will be complimented by the mega hospital under construction.
