As the music industry embarks on a new era of emcees, rappers are destined to leave their own imprint in the game. Their versatility and dynamic stage presence puts them in a league of their own. Their hard bars, distinctive hooks, delivery, content and concepts sets them apart from many other aspiring rappers. Standing out in an ever changing music industry is no easy task, but these rappers have developed a recipe for success. You can only tell the uniqueness in their lyrics, the creative metaphor and originality in their style if you can relate to the message in their music, and this is what makes a rapper outstanding, and lacks in the soul of indigenous rappers.
Music is meant to be a universal language, indigenous rappers are more likely restricted to a set of culture, their delivery and beat is what most fans fall in love with leaving them uninformed. They keep revolving in same circle as they gain very few or no international recognition. Their songs does not make sense across the board, they sell few or no records across their region, as such their longevity in the game is short-lived as you have to either evolve or dissolve. one should be able to listen to a song or album and relive the struggle or joy and feel what you really went through.

op, I disagree. I believe its cos of their style. American rap music nd nigerian are totally different...from beats, wordings, flows....
as a nigerian rapper, u have to chose to satisfy either d African audience or American/worldwide audience.
d funny tin is u can't satisfy d African audience with d American style of rap
nigerians would prefer listening to a song by lil Wayne to d exact same song by a Nigerian rapper based in Nigeria.
if u r based in Nigeria nd u can't satisfy ur nigerian audience, u can't go anywhere. so wen rappers move to d foreign scene dey hardly make it cos dey r used to d nigerian style. if dey try to switch styles dey end up losing deir nigerian fans so dey gotta stay in-between which won't help dem internationally
