UK: Female rocker embraces Islam — hopes to
behead Christians

Yet another convert embraces a form of Islam
that Muslim leaders in the West profess to reject
and abhor. Why can’t these leaders ensure that
converts to Islam are taught the religion properly?

A British mother-of-two who once fronted
an all-girl rock band is believed to have
made it to Syria where she is threatening to
behead Christians with a blunt knife.
Investigations have revealed the real name
of a Muslim convert who calls herself Umm
Hussain al-Britani may be Sally Jones, from
Chatham in Kent.
Umm Hussain has previously claimed she
married British computer hacker-turned
jihadi Junaid Hussain after an online
romance before the pair travelled separately
to Syria to join the Islamic State.
He has since become a potential suspect in
the beheading of the American journalist
James Foley.
On August 10 Umm Hussain tweeted that
she had made it to the ‘Caliphate’ with her
husband after being stuck in Idlib, north-
western Syria, for seven months.
Umm Hussain later indicated she was in the
IS stronghold of Raqqa.
In messages that have since been deleted,
she warned: ‘You Christians all need
beheading with a nice blunt knife and stuck
on the railings at raqqa … Come here I’ll do
it for you!’
Now a probe into his wife Umm Hussain’s
online activities carried out by the Sunday
Times have linked her to an address in the
Medway town.
Neighbours have also identified pictures
used in Umm Hussain’s online accounts as
the woman who moved out five years ago
and had two boys.
One neighbour said she was ‘scatty’ and
another said she was interested in ‘black
magic’ and witchcraft.
Others described her as a single mother who
appeared to be unemployed and who loved
cats.
On Twitter, Umm Hussain’s account follows
only five other feeds, one of which is an
account about cats in the Islamic State and
another related to the pets.
A video was also found on YouTube from the
early 1990s showing Jones fronting an all-
girl band while wearing a leather mini-skirt.
Umm Hussain’s husband escaped to Syria
last year while on police bail, and has been
posting extremist messages on social media
pledging to conquer the world and kill
infidels.
He was accompanied on his journey by
Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, 24, a former rapper
from west London who is believed to have
been on MI5′s radar.
In 2012 Hussain was jailed for stealing
personal information from Tony Blair, and is
thought to be putting his hacking skills to
use adding to the militants’ huge war chest.
Hussain is originally from Birmingham and
tweets behind the alias Abu Hussain al-
Britani. He has been pictured online posing
with a scarf over his face and a rifle in his
hands.
