I want to do costing of jollof rice for 200 people (on a medium budget and not very rich cos its for student) it has to be take-away in a foam pack and I wont be doing the cooking myself, will get someone to do that. all I will be doing is, get the things that will be needed. I might be using meat of chicken. I really need you people to chime in. thanks.

Make a list of quantities needed and write the quantity of each in front. You can then put the price in front and add up, that should give you a fair estimate, better to go with some extra change to avoid stories that hurt the liver.

we dunno your location, it'll be quite difficult to do the estimate for you. I dunno how much tomatoes cost in your area or oil etc

Rice - 20-25kg : #5000
Chicken/Beef - 25kilos : #15000
Fresh tomatoes - 30-40lbs - #3000
Onions - 15lbs (for rice and meat) -#1500
Bell pepper - 10pieces - #1000

maggi - 1 pack - #500

again @ op if you will put any additive like salad, moimoi or dodo, then consider that too.

then you have to increase the oil to 10L or less if you will fry all that chicken.
