Trevor Judge Waltrip was born on Christmas Eve 2001, with just a brain stem and hydranencephaly and died in his sleep on Monday.
He had a rare condition in which his brain’s cerebral hemispheres were gone and replaced with cerebro-spinal fluid. There is no cure or treatment.
Waltrip was blind and unable to verbally communicate, but he did breathe, have a heartbeat and could respond to some stimulus.
“He’s so alert and hates to be alone,” his mother Elizabeth told KSLA.
Doctors were originally unsure if he would make it past 12 weeks. Babies with his condition generally don’t live to birth.http://celebsnest..com/2014/09/boy-born-without-brain-dies-at-12.html
