Lamido not fit to rule Nigeria – Clark

The Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has been advised to shelf his presidential ambition because he is not good enough to succeed President Goodluck Jonathan.

The Ijaw national leader, Chief Edwin Clark, who stated this on Thursday, also warned the governor to abstain from making further comments against President Jonathan, describing him as a “corrupt public officer.”

Clark, who spoke at his Kiagbodo country home, Burutu council area of Delta State, also blamed Governor Chibuike Amaechi for the crisis of interest between himself and the President, describing the governor as a recalcitrant fellow.

He, however, gave a ray of hope on possible reconciliation between the duo, saying works were on to readopt the governor back into the “fold”, saying “he is one of us.”

Dismissing Lamido’s presidential ambition as unrealistic, the former federal commissioner described President Jonathan’s re-election bid as a valid
ambition, due the people of the Niger Delta.

“Lamido should not speak, if he has not been enjoying immunity, he should have been arrested for meddling with the funds of Jigawa State with his children. His children stole Jigawa’s money, billions of naira, he’s a signatory to some of those accounts, but because he’s enjoying immunity, nobody has spoken. He’s not the fit and proper person to govern Nigeria.

“Apart from the fact that Jonathan has another four years, Lamido is not qualified to be president of Nigeria. One, educationally, he is not qualified. Nigeria is made up of very qualified people, let him tell me what his qualifications are. Aminu Kano was the one who brought him up, tell me what his qualifications are to take over from someone who has a PhD, who has been a lecturer, who has been a governor, who has been a deputy governor. The arrogance must stop,” he said.

Restating his earlier comments on the waiver granted former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Chief Clark, said the former anti-graft czar is not an asset, but a liability to the ruling party in Adamawa State.

“Ribadu is not a stable man and I have said it openly at a press conference and an open letter to the national chairman that Ribadu is a political liability, I have said that Ribadu cannot win any election,” he said.

Can u Imagine this dying OLD FOOL that looks like EBOLA Called Edwin Clark calling the peoples Governor a name? This old fool that is due for quarantine does not know GEJ himself is not even good enough to chair local council. If not for mere sentiments, GEJ is not even anywhere near a leader because he lacks every qualities of a leader.

Nobody should be fooled by Pa Kiagbodo's deceptive pontification....He is only trying to be disingenious due to his apprehension about Lamido's attempt to throw spanner into his political calculation and continued Godfather status to The Clueless One

His attempt to diss Sule Lamido is not borne out of any patriotic considerations!

I hope Mr Clark is not looking for soft landing for Rotimi, Amaechi should be left to rot in Sambisa in 2015.

As for Lamido, he has better chance of being the emir of Kano than ruling Nigeria, zero chance.

While people like you come to shout on NL.....GEJ's political strategists knows that Amaechi can ensure that the massive rigging that PDP always does is never allowed to take place

Its not as if APC would win Rivers Presidential elections but the landslide rigging will not be possible with Amaechi still an opponent of GEJ

The strategy of PDP is to shore up very well expected votes from SE and SS which we expect them to win though( only with the actual numbers of votes cast) but they are also banking on inflating the votes as they have always done while praying to have 25% in the rest of the country

Hence the presence of opposition Governors in Imo and Rivers is a great cause for concern....because they will mobilise men and resources to man every polling booths hence foreclosing the 'carry go' strategy of the PDP

Those who are trying to reconcile Amaechi and Jonathan know more than you

Your narrative couldn't be more wrong. Isn't it obvious that its impossible for Buhari to get 2% in the SS or SE, two regions that are overwhelmingly Christian?

Why would GEJ need to rig in Imo or Rivers?

The SWOT analysis of th elections have been done by APC flowing from the pattern of voting since 1999

The fact is that elections have always been massively rigged in favour of PDP in the SE and in the SS......ask most Igbos who can attest to the fact that APGA have always been shortchanged in the East

APC knows that it might not harvest so many votes from both regions BUT they are poised to ensure that only the true, actual votes are recorded for all the parties including PDP in the SE and SS......The way it always happened when the opposition doesn't have some foothold and gatekeepers in both regions ,have always made PDP to rig blindly without any check will be different come 2015...as both Governors will want to work for their party to minimise the vote deficits in order for them to be able to negotiate for party patronage based on their input or hardwork

In Politics, you can only eat from where you have sown.......If Amaechi and Okorocha allows the PDP to run them over in those state, they and their loyalists will only end up as spectators should APC wins

The battle ground is the SW.....which was also left opened for PDP in 2011 owing to some political expediency

The North is a NO GO area for Jonathan and he himself knows hence the recent bullish attempt on some of the state in the SW and the recall of Mimiko back to PDP in order to consolidate their strategy

So PDP will win SE,SS hands down.......Plateau,Benue,Kogi might lean towards PDP

APC will sweep NE,NW hands down.......kwara,Kogi( forget the sitting Governor, his popularity has waned so much),Nassarawa might lean towards APC

Osun is sure in the bag for APC

It will all dovetail into how massively both parties are able to police each other in their weak zones( NW,NE,SE,SS) so that actual votes are made to count from there

The SW is the swing zones and opinion poll tilts very much in favour of APC as most people are disenchanted with GEJ's failure

I agree with some of your permutations but I believe the swing zone of SW will go with GEJ like they did in 2011. Buhari contested and lost the SW in 2011.
GEJ is not as unpopular in the SW as being voiced on pages of newspapers and the internet, Buhari is even more unpopular.
Given the power of incumbency and the Nigerian politician's willingness to make himself available to the highest bidder, I foresee a resounding victory for GEJ.

Thank God we are not abusing each other yet!

SW will not go to GEJ a la carte......infact GEJ should be very worried owing to the fact that his popularity has nose-dived

6 out of every 10 voters who got bought over by GEJ's I HAVE NO SHOES campaign slogan in 2011 have since discovered that was mere rhetorics and that GEJ's tenure infact has inflicted pain on the masses via some of his policies Fuel Price Hike,PHCN Fixed Charge,Inability to Fight Corruption- a tag which PDP have become synonymous with. Some people only gave PDP the last chance owing to the fact that no one knew GEJ and felt he would be different

Infact the refrain then by people who voted for GEJ in the SW was that I AM VOTING FOR GEJ BUT NOT PDP but now have discovered that PDP is GEJ and GEJ is PDP because GEJ have been very laid-back,no drive and no attempt to even lift a finger as regards corruption. He infact has gone ahead to beatify corrupt people and has given them a pride of place in his government

GEJ has further alienated Nigerians who were somewhat sympathetic to the Niger Delta/SS cause by tactically allowing his SS brothers( Militants,Asari Dokubo,Edwin Clark etc) to insult, threaten and curse at other major ethnic groups just because their man is currently in power thereby setting a very bad precedence such that whoever that gets to power after him( even if he wins in 2015-God Forbid),his tribesmen too will personalise the Presidency just like the SS political elites are doing at the moment

GEJ has never deliberately eulogised the people of the North or SW for voting for him up till now but has been seen to praise the SEners as the pillars of his government.Thereby creating a never-before-seen ethnic tension and rivalry amongst all the major ethnic group......Hence people are now kind of ganging up against perceived enemies of their tribe due to GEJ's lack of tact and politics of alienation

Rather than be the President of Nigeria and all Nigerians inclusive of those who didnt vote for him in order to win more souls,GEJ has been the most divisive President in Nigeria

SWners being very open-minded and strategic people despite the fact that some of them voted for GEJ have been the staunchest of his antagonists owing to the erosion of their confidence in GEJ who they felt was humble and unassuming but have now discover that he is actually not so intellectually disposed to handle this country better and take her to the next level

Buhari has gained from the fact that people have waited for GEJ/PDP to show even the faintest of evidence besides newspaper propaganda and continous noise about whatever they have alleged him with up till tommorrow they are yet to see any. I know for a fact people who were not disposed to Buhari's candidature including my own family members in 2011 who have since changed their opinions both about GEJ's capability and Buhari's chances

SW families often comprise a mixture of Muslims and Christians who have been co-existing and very tolerant of each other, they have suddenly discovered an attempt by GEJ/PDP to make christian children hate their muslim parents on the terrible line of religion intolerance

The BH debacle has even played negatively against GEJ in the SW who has consistently said he knows the sponsors, financiers and supporters and that infact they are in his government yet he hasnt done anything to name and shame them. Hence people have now seen the tactics of GEJ not finding solution to BH problem but using it to paint the opposition bad

SWners have children, youths, who were swindled of several thousands of Naira in the Immigration job scam and several of them were killed and up till now nothing has been done by GEJ to the derelict Minister or justice to the dead

My hand don dey pain me..........Finally in the SW we dont reward indolence, failure, excuses, lethargy even if you are one of us....That is why some of us still continue to critisize even OBJ irrespective of his being a shon of the shoil!

Jonathan might find it more difficult to get 25% votes in the "North North" : Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, Jigawa.
But he will be in play to get at least 40% in Kebbi and Bauchi. He might win 50% of Kaduna.
He shall be about 60% in Adamawa, Taraba, Nasarrawa, Kogi. Divergent voices are coming up in the North which can be courted.

Plateau and Benue will tend towards 80% for GEJA.
It would be a moonslide in the SE and SS. No opposition boots on the ground. Amaechi is not a forest.

From the Ekiti and Osun elections, PDP has proven to be competitive in the SW.
They won comfortably in Ekiti and even with a flawed candidate who did not run a good campaign and aroused strong negative emotions, they still got about 40% in APC strongest hold. They may be as strong in Oyo as they are in Ekiti. If the opposition is Buhari, Kwankwaso or Okorocha, we would have a repeat of 2011.
If Fashola or Tinubu is the APC candidate, PDP would struggle to make 25% of the SW vote, but would more than make up for it in the disenchanted "North North".
It is going to be crushing win for the PDP.

This addlebrained senile old man has been GEJ's tutor on ethnic and religious division which the foolish president has mastered.

He thinks it right to reconcile with Amaechi who is "one of them" but throw insults at Lamido who is an "enemy"....and the eediots still expect to get votes from Northerners.

They should keep playing the ethnic card...GEJ will not be president FOREVER.

How has Jonathan's PhD benefited Nigerians? He's got PhD but has the brain of an SSCE holder. Is the presidency about ur academic qualifications?
Clarke even accused Lamido of stealing Jigawa state's fund ,what happened to Alamiyeisigha that stole much more? Did Jonathan not pardon him? When has stealing become a criminal offence? Did Jonathan not say stealing is not corruption?
