EBOLA At FMC, Asaba by Nobody: 4:08am On Sep 05, 2014
someone, an ex school colleague, posted this on his facebook wall. Sir Seun, Mukina2, please help take it to front page for awareness.
Since I heard that infected doctor in PH was visited by someone from Delta,I've been wearing gloves and sanitising my hands every 10mins. Now it is confirmed that Ebola is in FMC Asaba and as if not bad enough,it is not too far from where I live.
can any one confirm this?

Bros its true o! Here's d story

Pandemonium broke out at the Federal Medical
Centre (FMC), Asaba when a male patient started
exhibiting symptoms similar to that of the deadly
Ebola Virus Disease (EVD).
The situation almost resulted into stampede as
people around at the time ignorantly scampered
for safety for fear of having contact with the
patient.
Although check at the hospital revealed that wards
were almost empty, some health workers were
seen around, just as it was observed that activities
were yet to pick-up following the suspension of
the strike by the Nigeria Medical Association
(NMA).
Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Leo
Erhunmwunse who spoke on phone, said that the
patient who was brought in, was stooling and
vomiting, two of the symptoms of the contagious
disease but was yet to be determined if he was
infected.
“A patient who was stooling and vomiting was
actually brought to the hospital today (yesterday),
symptoms of Ebola but we need to confirm if he is
suffering from the disease. We need to carry out
series of test to verify if he has the virus or not.
People should not panic. The situation is under
control,” he assured
Erhunmwunse said it could take a few days before
the result of the test to determine if the patient
was an Ebola victim.
It could not however been confirmed if the inter-
ministerial committee on the prevention and
control of the dreaded disease set up by Governor
Emmanuel Uduaghan had be notified as at the
time of filing this report.
