Fashola Inspects Eko Akete, Fairmont Garden Housing Schemes, Says It's A Fulfillment of Electoral Promises

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), Sunday inspected on-going Housing projects in the State including Eko Akete Housing Estate, saying his administration would continue to serve the people of Lagos until the end of its tenure to ensure a smooth handover to the next administration come 2015.

Governor Fashola, who also inspected Fairmont Garden Mixed Development Scheme told newsmen after the exercise that what Government was trying to do in all its estates going forward was to put all the infrastructure in place before selling so that people would walk in there and build adding that the roads and drainages are being put in place in all the estates.

The Governor recalled that the Eko Akete Housing Scheme was an electoral issue at a point in time and he promised Lagosians that his administration would turn the over two hundred and eighty hectares of land around adding that the promise was being fulfilled.

"It was an electoral issue at a time and I promised Lagosians that we will turn it around and this is one site of the scheme, about two hundred and eighty something hectares. You could see that people are already living here, development has taken place, people are settling down and you can see again we have delivered on our promise to see that this estate is developed", the Governor
