Not for the immediate short term if I may contribute.

I have the same opinion. I think to buy and hold for the future is good.

I think the logic of trading penny stock is to save money little by little and after there is reasonable increase, then you can use the money to invest in blue chips coy. just my opinion sha.

Well... depends on the individual. In percentages,1 naira a share stock that becomes 2 naira has doubled your money the same way 25 naira a share that is now 50 naira would. The penny stocks do have an advantage though, you may pick one that will rise by 500% in years, it is very rare for blue chips to rise that much. In addition, the cost of buying penny stock is relatively low and entry into it is presumed to be relatively easy which provides you with opportunity to gain more if you pick them well and for years. Of course there is also a downside but if the aim is to buy penny stocks in the first place, why trade them for less probability of a rise in a blue chip stock and still have to pay fees to get out and fees to get into the blue chip ones.

My own opinion also

If you're wise, get hold of Skye shares now. It just acquired MainStreet Bank.

It's definitely going north starting Wednesday.

Here are tips to pick great penny stocks to buy in NSE market:

Look for penny stock with consistent sales growth history.

Make sure net profit margin growth is also in line with sales growth (10pcnt)

Make sure they are also growing in cash by comparing trends in current ratio and operational earnings

Choose a penny stock with low debt to capital below 0.5. Avoid companies that are highly exposed to interest rate risk.

Make sure their share price is growing in line with their fundamentals ( 20pcnt in d last 1yr)

Buy this penny stock and allow your investment to run for atleast 1yr - 5yrs

examples?

Great thread indeed, I have been buying stocks since 2003, started with presco iPo at N5, still holding that stock. I have also lost lots of cash, but the market has recovered a good deal now, it's time to invest in the market, in fact there has been several missed opportunities in the past few years. I basically buy stocks for the annual dividend/bonus payout. My favorite stock is gtb and access bank, they pay me good dividends, I will be interested in other high dividends paying stocks, especially those below N10.

No one can predict or time the market Sir. Especially with a bourse like ours. In future, include a caveat, when you make such definite predictions.
