In my 9-5 days as a Business Specialist, i was actively involved in the launch of all iphones from the 3Gs to the 5s/5c.

I can tell you that about 8 out of 10 people who desperately want an iphone have no clue why they want it (first-hand information).

I have seen this scenario play out year after year.

Admittedly, the original iphone (2G) was a game changer, and ushered in something seemingly fresh and new.

The 3G raised the bar a little higher and the 3Gs was.. meh..

The iphone 4 (2010) came close to offering something new on "mainstream" phones. It offered a front-facing camera with its Facetime.
(keep in mind less popular brands like Sony Ericsson have had front facing cameras since 2003).


-------About this period, people started exploring Android phones more actively.


The 4s was a waste of time and energy. People still queued for days.

The iphone 5 had a new look, and some subtle new features (playing catch-up with Android devices).

The 5s was well,... the iphone 5 with a spray tan.
The 5C was the iphone 5 wearing a cheap and colorful Walmart suit.

I got to see and try out every iphone from the 3Gs to the 5s before they were launched, and my reaction
was always the same.. "WTF is this?"

Regardless of Apple's lack-luster specifications, unnecessary proprietary accessories
and interface, they do have pretty looking phones of superior body build (except the 5C with its Walmart suit).

Yes you are right... It's great with low light. For me I think 8MP is perfect to blend with good daylight performance and low light with an increased size of the pixels, a better aperture and some underneath features.

yes ur right br0....had to wait ages to get the Xperia z2 on the date of release(preordered on 02 off contract) but i was so sad when it didn't show any edge over that M8...not even the usual sony sound and details this time. i think sometimes, brand loyalty to tech firms is utter rubbish.

What android phone can tell you how many stairs you climbed or how long you sat down in a day. Or recommend how many hours of work out that you need to do. C'mon lets be honest.

well my z2 didn't get better with the software update where its 4k video recording shuts down cos of overheating and some other little things. give it to Sammy(coming from someone who's been a very loyal Apple user since the first iPod) if not for the newer generation of processors this year, we have already been using all the "current" features and apps since the past 2years.. i.e, from other devices and platforms.. i say: never settle. ask them, hassle them, suspect them...don't be loyal!
