Fear gripped students and staffs of Obafemi Awolowo University today as the news of a yet-to-be confirmed case of Ebola infection filtered through the University community. An Undergraduate female student was rushed to the University Health Centre by her room mates yesterday as she was said to be manifesting some peculiar symptoms of the deadly disease.

The rumour got intensified today as health workers of the World Health Organization(WHO) and other Bodies were sighted in the Health Centre dressed in the Ebola protective way 'fumigating' the environments. That would be the second time it will be fumigated today.

As at the time of filing this report, it is not yet clear if the suspected Ebola victim was still in the University Health Centre because another report has it that she has been moved to the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, some minutes drive away from the University campus.

The University Management is yet to make any official declaration on the case. If the report is true, this will be the first Ebola case reported in The State of Osun.

More details later...

You can say that again and again sir. Infact, you need to see some students' reaction here on campus.

Oh really?
She was exhibiting symptoms of EVD, and her roommates "rushed" her to the health centre?

All you baseless scaremongers with tasteless penchant for sensationalism must think everyone else has got their head up their a$$.

You want to tell us that her mates saw obvious symptoms of EVD and still went ahead to "rush" her to the health centre?
They must have fully kitted up with protective gears then, right?

Please save your tasteless piece of crap for those who dont know any better.
Anyone who experiences health emergency is now tagged as an EVD suspect. It's plain silly angry

BTW, is that a picture of her roommates up there, in full protective gears, ready to rush anyone else to the health centre...or just more of your attempt at adding sensation to your narrative?

Do I really need to answer this?? You had your point spelt out in your first line but you were too quick to dismiss the content of the post with perusing it.

It was a suspected case. It could end up a true case of EVD or another ailment with similar symptoms.
