They are mainly from those areas that considered themselves first before others. They make their money in Lagos and from Lagos but never wanted Lagos progress. For being an elder person and superior in sojaruwa, I would not comment on Commodore Bode Georgre (rtd) statements on the loan taken by Tinubu some years ago.

If the decision on the rebuilding of the Lagos Central Business Area in Lagos Island and Ikeja and massive rebuilding of VI/Ikoyi and flood control had not been done, all those businesses that had earlier relocated out of Lagos but are now back would not have done so. Most of the foreign companies coming to Nigeria open office in Lagos first before moving or opening operational offices in respective places that are made to do business.

Till dates, all the roads constructed by Julius Berger during Tinubu and those completed under Fashola are still in their best states. Only roads constructed by Chinese (Igando - Iyana oba and few places) require occasional maintenance.

The workforce of Lagos State Government is the largest and even six times the size of some sleepy states with only one or two urban towns and the rest glorified villages.

Lagos should even take more loans. They can pay it. Despite the frustration of the Federal Government, Lagos still manage to survive. If Lagos had been in Ghana or Ivory Coast or even an independent state, It would have become the dubai of Africa.
