Over the years, making a living in Abuja the nation's capital has been challenging for those in the transport sector. From the ban of okada to buses popularly called 'araba' and later restriction of keke NAPEP operators. Only recently there seems to be a plan to ban Unpainted taxis too.

What seems to bother one is the policy inconsistency. First and foremost the painted taxis have proper identification but yet they are restricted or barred from entering estates, plazas, government offices etc. The unpainted taxis on the other hand provided succour to persons who were not opportuned to own a car but had business to do in these areas where taxis Could not access.

What beats one imagination is that why are painted taxis restricted from these places even when it's obvious that it must be a drop or chatter? Is it not better to allow painted taxis to move unhindered since they have proper identification unlike the unpainted taxis and the security risk they pose?

Fellow guys, let's hear your view on the way forward.

That shows that obeying the law in Nigeria is a crime to oneself.

I tot I was the only one who noticed. The unpainted cabs are the real security threats not the painted one that have bold identification nrs.
But u know our security forces always stick to one archaic reasoning and can never change it even if circumstances have since evolved.
