This booking S1409098270 is ready to ship, but because it is shipping as a HAZMAT item, they are yet to dispatch as they go through series of clearance in the US before they leave.

As for the discrepancy in charges, it must be as a result of packaging. In as much as the items are of the same weight, the packaging may be different.

Regarding the ones that are yet to be confirmed, we have alerted our US team to make that confirmation for us and update the status for you.

Not every1 one will tow ewajeh's path and delete wat dey've written abt shippyme.So I'll advise u get to work and make sure tins are right.Itz beta to apologize and tell customers that their items 'll be ready in a month(give reasons) instead of promising speed of lite service and failing(for those dat av items wit u already) and work on delivering smoothly in future.

Shippyme has an express service as fact as DHL and UPS. The cost is cheaper than the listed services but several times more expensive than the regular service. Speed is expensive. Shippyme ships 2 times a week and under normal circumstances, we can deliver within the promised 5 - 12 working days. The number of complaints on Nairaland can be reduced to under a dozen actors. That is a far cry from the thousands of users registered with Shippyme. We work hard to address their issues but their displeasure is by no means symptomatic of the broader experience of the majority.

No one who has an active booking on Shippyme can say they don't know if their items have been received for months. It is always there in your user account to see. I believe there is an issue of a cultural shift that we also need to address. Shippyme tries to use technology to put more control in the hands of the users. We have to push for that change. But it is hard when people are used to the tactile contact with people for updates and followups. We will get there.

Abt d notifications wen items get to your warehouse,I practically had to send my tracking number to Nigeria and UsA office for it to reflect on my account to enable me knw the shipping cost.Mind you,UPS had informed me my items were received...I had to hound the customer care before I got confirmation.

Shippyme like any product is not for everybody. If you are not comfortable with technology and how it can bring efficiency to you, stay with other companies. If you like to work with a technology driven process, we are happy to listen and learn.

Dozens of new users are subscribing everyday and hundreds of packages are shipped every week. So, I do believe there are more discerning users out there.

The email you quoted effectively resolves your issue. If you login to your user account, you can see the status of your packages. If you expand each booking you can click to see the picture of what was received for you. All these are in your hands. What else do you want us to do for you?

I really didn't have a problem with shippyme... All problems i had were my problems.. I was a first time customer who was referred by a friend but i got so into it that i forgot to read basic instructions which were.. 1. Never pay up balance until your status has been updated as received etc. . Some of you here come bashing them just because your friends are doing the same... You dont even check your account... Truth is.. Running this business isn't easy and coming here and destroying their reputation makes it more difficult... For those of you saying they dont reply emails, i really do not know who you're sending them to... Before you start saying am part of their team... Just scroll to the first page.. I was this this close to bashing them when i realized, it was all my fault.. So my basic point is... There are lots of things you can do on your own which includes tracking your own shipments.. The insurance stuff is really important... I mean how would you do business without insurance.? They don't deliver until all payments are received however you only pay when all you orders have been updated as received.... All these i learned on my own and problems i experienced not...

I agree wit you,albeit partially.
But calling criticisms bashing is wat I don't like.Yes,some may be bitter wit it but it doesn't make d complaints untrue.

There are some customers who know wat they are doing.So,they(shippyme) aren't completely exonerated.
Abt d mails...trust me,u will sweat b4 u get a reply(if u get any).

Irohadis,I got a msg dat my second item left d usa and d status on my profile is "departed".It was also stated that it shld arrive naija in two days.
Your ETA(countdown) read 2days+ which was clearly in order.
Itz past two days now and the status hasn't changed.Anoda tin I noticed is that the ETA has disappeared...what a miracle undecided.


Maybe sumtin came up-itz perfectly normal.But I av every right to be aggrieved cos u raised my hope and dashed it.I advised u adopt contigency approach to planning and it shld reflect on your ETA.There is nothing wrong promising 4days and taking delivery in 3days-your stock 'll simply rise.People 'll say shippy promised 4days but delivered in 3days.Instead u promise 2days and we av not d faintest idea as to were our items are.I said all these earlier but u said u can match d speed of DHL,UPS et al-fine!!! angry

Here comes my experiences with Shippyme!!

My laptop screen and battery arrived shippyme office on the 1st and 4th October respectively, and left for Nigeria One week plus after staying on their custody. reason why it took so long was my own mistake. there were little misunderstanding, i went and added another item, so they were expecting the third items arrival but due to my steady calls everything was resolved.

They got to Nigeria middle of the month and according to them, they were custom relay. then i awaited till 22th when the status changes to warehouse sorting or stuff like that.

On 24th, it also changes to "ready for collection" but since i stays in Onitsha, I paid for ABC delivered on 25th ( which was Saturday ) via internet Banking and it shipped on 28th, Finally received on 30th. I tasted and Fix everything, they were all in Perfect Condition

I was a sleepless Night experiences, not just with shippyme but perhaps my first Online Shopping.

Here is my Rating

if i am to rate Shippyme using 5.0 , I will give them 4.0

Reason
Shippyme charges is kinda high: I don't know why i was billed approximately N8,000 shocked on 2 items (laptop screen and battery ) or is it because of the Screen Risk involved?

Lack of Communication : One problem any company will ever make is failing to inform users on any development angry . They should be a particular individual in charge of receiving and replying especially email because it's not everybody that has airtime to spend in Calling.





Whether i will ever order or ship to Nigeria using Shippyme in My life again? My unbiased Answer is YES!! though i must get a clarification on the items i want ( i mean the prices ) before ordering, so i wouldn't be surprise on any charges they bill.

Why i should use them again? Honestly I have noticed some changes after shippyme update, concerning one nigga stealing most of their customers items. before now, Communicating with them was Hell, but now getting them especially their Phone lines is very easy , remember to burn Credit anyway grin



Where i want shippyme to Improve

Communication : i remember that until this very moment, some of my mails has not been replied (even when my items are here with me cheesy ) . like i said before, responding to customers immediately is one of the keys to boost your company and Build trust.

Warehouse Communications : My items supposed to leave Lagos on Monday but due to poor communications between whoever that is in charge and the warehouse GUY, they waited until Tuesday! after my numerous calls and provoking moments.

Proof Delay after entering my payment on "Credit Purchase History" Tab, these guys still asked for another proof here on nairaland. Shippyme should add a section where people needs to upload their payment invoices as an additional payment evidence to cease delay in verifying someone's claims.

System Networking there is also need to update information of customers across all board, sometimes i have to call and explain a particular problem over and over again. Once a complain is been made, update the user account details so that any of your representatives wouldn't start asking already asked questions cool


Finally, I wish you guys the best in your Business. remember to settle with those who items were lost due to the issues you had . Company must bear any responsibilities that occurs, not your customers. It is not easy for customers to spend their Hard-earned money and expect disappointments. You must find a way to pay them back whether insured or not, atleast we all sacrifice somehow to get what we want. One good turn deserves another.

i understand how frustrated people are, but i decided to take things easy with them because i am also a service provider online. sometime error occurs and there is nothing we can do about it.

I agree with the issues you raised and as you rightly pointed out, we have already identified and implemented fixes to some of them. With time I can guarantee most of them will be resolved. We like a constructive partnership with our customers, where their well articulated views can lead to providing the best service possible. Again, I assure you of better days ahead.
