LKO:

Doc, do u have a rough estimate of the cost implication of removing cataract? My grand mum has being diagnosed with eye cataract on both eyes but only the left eye is mature for removal now. A private eye clinic here in Warri is billing me 150K, that is too much for me now. The General hospital here is a terrible place to go, I don't want my mama to be badly treated in the General hospital, she is even scared of going there. Can it be cheaper elsewhere? Thanks.
90k at Specialist Eye Center, TINU HOSPITAL, Isolo, Lagos. That's where I work and our surgeon is good.

We did 3 Cataract surgeries today alone

What's the mechanism of action??

Any link to a documented research to back up those claims?

We are professionals here, we can't just start prescribing anything just because someone says it works without scientific evidence backed by research

I must commend all d eye docs for their contributions.
My case is dis, I usually have a discoloured eye(reddness), . And from my observation, it happens each time my eye is exposed to bright light, be it from phone, sunlight or computer. And recently, the the redness is accompanied with headache, particularly on the left part of my head.
I visited an eye clinic but after some test I was told my vision is perfect and eye pressure is OK. some eye drops were prescribed. While I was using dem, the condition subsided and I felt better.
But right now, the issue is back, pls wa exactly could be dthe cause and wats the possible remedy.
from your complain,I believe you are photophobic, you will need a transition/photochromic lenses if diagnosed to be photophobic. I think u skipped this part when you visited your eye doctor, try see ur eye doctor asap for proper diagnosis and treatment. Thanks

Drugs wouldn't work sir. You have the option of using contact lenses if you can adapt to it.

We are please to inform you that Trinity Health Care has recorded her first set of Clients who have recovered from early and mid-stage senile cataract with the use of the new drug called Bendazac Lysine. Results are still expected from those with late stage cataract. If you are having early or mid-stage senile cataract, then hurry now and get yourself treated. With Bendazac Lysine eyedrops, senile cataract cases requiring surgery in Nigeria will likely reduce. To make your wholesale or retail purchase contact Medcart Trinity Pharmaceuticals on 09031652000, 08028791004 or send a mail to healthcaretrinity1@gmail.com

its not really a problem to worry about..what you having is a progressive or degenerative myopia which is due to the increased axial length of your eyeball or stretching of your eye tissues ( choroid, retina and sclera). proper examination should be conducted on your eyes to rule out any pathology and check for retinal detachment. Thanks
