Mockery Of Our Collective Intelligence by olatayo1984(m): 1:06pm On Sep 15, 2014
When a writer remain silent, he subjected himself to earthly hell but due to usual occurrences of impunity in Nigeria, I decided to keep mute not until we are being mocked to our faces. For sometimes now I have being watching with dismay the physical and intellectual abuse going on. It reached a level I couldn’t stand it again, when the pigs came to town last week. The agent of ever performing president (Abati et al, 2013, 2014) came to town to display their known madness and showed symptoms of their folly. They showed the world the kind of leaders we have in Nigeria and totally disgraced themselves. Like a Yoruba adage ‘they said you have a big dirty mouth and you still open it everywhere’, meaning if our president is really clueless as people said, must his supporters show his cluelessness by their foolish act or is folly a dominant trait that they inherited that must express itself at all cost.
#BringBackOurGirls, a hash tag used to campaign for the rescue of missing Chibok girls was adulterated. Are these people really intellectually poor, that they can’t think for intellectual materials to proclaim the gospel of their task master or they are just making mockery of our collective intelligence? In their own foolishness, they said we should bring Jonathan back, has he bring back the Chibok girls? He only brings more mysteries to our lifes. He didn’t believe the abduction until the 19th day, always politicise every issue because of 2015. That is the person those political beggars are telling us to bring back. Mocking us to our face and insulting us, believing we have lost of memory. National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) also was used as platform for mockery. They endorsed a president that paralysed education in universities for six months and polytechnics for almost a year because of their insensitivity, are these really students or have they lost their mind and as a result turned to political hallelujah boys. NANS contain retarded ignorant beggars trying with every means available to secure their future. In their just conducted election over the weekend, it was heard of serious imposition and rigging. What fear me most is, if these set of people in NANS become the leader of this country, we are in big mess, from frying pan to consuming fire.
Fallacies generated from presidency everyday indicated that no matter what people say, things will be like this for sometime because they can’t offer us what they don’t have which indicate the level of intelligent of the president and his advisers which are pay by tax payers money to assist him, are ‘Yes Man’ set of people, they tell him what he want to hear. I think if the president has an intelligent adviser, he should have deduce that the hash tag #BringBackGoodluck2015 will cause more harm than good because it showed that he didn’t care about the plight of these girls and their parents. Until Washington post reported it, the presidency didn’t see anything bad about it. Am not disappointed because only foreign agencies matter in Nigeria, anyone that condemn what they are doing wrong in Nigeria, either he is called an enemy of the president which earn him the enemy of state or he is an APC member. It takes Malala to come to Nigeria after 100days before the president addressed the Chibok community and the parents of the missing girls.
Stephen Davis reported that Ali Modu Sheriff is a sponsor of deadly boko haram and he still makes the entourage of the president. I wonder what qualify someone to be part of president’s entourage; your guess is good as mine. He was part of the people to discuss about how to end what he started and still nurture by sponsoring them as claimed by Davis. It is like a suspect being part of group of judges to give judgement to his own case. If what presidency is saying is true about Sheriff being in Chad before them and was at the airport to welcome the president, there should be a reaction showing that he was not welcome.
A conflicting issue in Nigeria is how ebola case is being handled. Ebola had been ravaging the country for past few weeks and as a result schools are closed down but pro-Jonathan rally is staged in every zone in Nigeria. Thanks to the fallen pavilion that disrupted the rally on Saturday in Minna, maybe it will bring them back to their senses if they really have one.
Another impunity ravaging our society, is the issue of payment of #4000 online call up fee for NYSC, why are these leaders so insensitive to the plight of Nigerians, they are adding more salt to injury. They said it is for printing of call up letter, at #4000 per one, is the letter more than a page? To get transport fare to where you are posted and to supplement the prisonlike food they offer at camps have always be a challenge, now another mountain had been added. Why compounding the problems of Nigerian masses, why not let them be if you can’t solve their problems. If really they want to easy the problem people face in getting the letter at their various schools, they should just send it to their mail box and they will print it out themselves. This is not rocket science, they should stop fooling us. Sometime ago, they collected #1000 from unsuspecting jobless graduate, the money is not refunded and jobs are not given, that is called ‘PROFESSIONAL GOVERNMENTAL ROBBERY’ (PGR). Those that died during the cause of the recruitment, died in vain and some imbeciles are telling us to bring the president back, to send us all to our early graves or what?
OSCAR PICTORIUS
The double amputee runner, Oscar Pictorius was found not guilty of murder but convicted of lesser charge of culpable homicide equivalent to manslaughter in the UK. Judge Masipa, said when reading the judgement that the prosecutor refused to provide concrete evidence to proof his action was pre determine to murder Reeva Steenkamp but my concern was, is the judgement an indication of what happened on February 14, 2013 or they staged played it like that of O.J. Simpson of USA that murdered his wife but found not guilty. Time will tell, because time will make the truth to be revealed.

Nigerians deserve their useless leaders because they keep voting for them. All they do is party bashing on nairaland, pdp vs apc as if those political parties are any different from each other. Over 200 girls have been missing for over 5months now and all our leaders are doing is campaigning for elections.
The day Nigerians will go out and revolt against those animals and start believing God will not come down from heaven and do what they are supposed to do for themselves, maybe Nigeria will have a chance.
