A mother hen will fight off a dog to protect her chicks; a serial investor will religiously watch his investments. This is because "where your treasure is, there will your heart be as well". In other words, people guard their valuables.

360 IMPACT
The positive reactions trailing these series dubbed 'Romance Helplines' have been awesome. My wife and I are really humbled. However, we still want to reach a few people who believe that romance in marriage is a waste of time, unrealistic or for newly weds only. Just like the absence of engine oil in your vehicle's engine can cause it to breakdown, the absence of romance in a marriage can trigger a number of avoidable but painful experiences.

REALITY
It can lead to couples living like room mates, without excitement. This makes communication become a chore, and is often limited to talks about the children, utilities, and bills; phones, laptops and other gadgets are pass-worded; every comment becomes over-analysed to unravel the 'hidden' meanings, etc

More so, there are often constant waste around the house because of the absence of synergistic decision making. Children are brainwashed and fed with poisonous information about each parent in order to drag them into various family 'political parties' (father's interest party and mother's selfish party).

Romance is cheaper than the above situation, and is certainly cheaper than divorce. Don't you agree?

ASSIGNMENT: Work together to set up a plan to nurture and protect your marriage from yourselves and external influences.
