abrahamolusoji: pardon! Which jets? Is it A- jets? Or outdated miggs still in our possessn? The truth is d western powers might be sabotaging our efforts to get standard & special equipments dats why d FG might hav resorted to dat option. And it's an option which even d greatest nations of d world have indulged in since d cold war. What S/Africa did was just to blow a whistle on its own foul, knowing fully well dat Nigeria is challenging with ease her economic might despite d ongoing crises.d truth is dat S/A is aware from d onset and will see d deal thru despite leaving a chain of questnable reputatn regarding the deal on d neck of Nigeria. Nigeria doesn't just have enemies within but even around d world. U can see d ill treatment of Nigerians in some African countries whose citizens we make comfortable here. The questn u shoul ask is why can't S/Africa inform Nigerian authorities b4 painting Nigeria red again as if it is not aware of d deal? Why would S/A of all African countries exhibit such double standards?

Bro. Guess you've not been following the thread and issues surrounding this discuss. It was a celebrated case few weeks ago that the military just took delivery of fighter jets wether "outdated or inefficient" it is what they ordered that they got the military are better positioned to defend why they order what you call outdated.

It is ludicrous to believe Nigeria Government will order ammunitions, arms and also inclusive of a Helicopter for a paltry sum of 9.3m dollars. It is either the arms are for members of the church of pastor oritshejafor or the matter is a pure case of money laundering.

How did they come across the large foreign exchange if civilians are not supposed to withdraw more than 10k dollars from banks without EFCC clearance? Did the CBN released it? Was that why Sanusi had to go and the MD of a bank owned by a close associate of the president put there? What happened to the cashless policy?

The deal is so covert that the SA Government too must and cannot be made aware of it? Let's assume the deal is legal will the SA customs looks away while a ship or aircraft load ammunition at their ports? If you believe the dunce and stupid defense of the FG you're in for a long thing. There is more to the story than the defense you read. The president had to cover his spiritual father cum arm dealer to safe face over his closeness to him same way he tried to safe face when the chad visit blew in his face with alimodu sheriff. Covert arm deals between friendly states are done covertly between defense officials of both states not by civilians arm dealers using a private jet belonging to a leader of a religious body.

Forget the co.ck and bull story and reason it yourself . This is a clear case of gun running or money laundering

meforyou1: this ishaq man must be very drunk. Let him call for the disintegration of this union that is not working let everybody go their separate ways.
North that doesn't contribute anything to the Nigerian economy except murder, looting, destruction and Islamic terrorism.
We truly have no business together as a country with too much overbearing ethnic and religious bigotry that are grossly unfounded, unreasonably filled with suspicions, claims and counter claims from all camps in the country. Every tongue and nations should better rule himself if we cannot accept the leadership of any individual in the so called one Nigeria because he doesn't represent my ethnic or religious sentiment.

Gorrbachev: Wen light unexpectedly shines on murkiness, those exposed by the stinging rays often berate the light rather than regret the muck. That is the plight of Ayo Oritsejafor whose private jet was identified as the vessel impounded by the South African authorities for ferrying $9.3m cash into their country. A statement from Eagle Air admitted Oritsejafor's interests in the aircraft, but said it leased the plane to Green Coast which in turn acknowledged hiring the plane out for the trip to South Africa.

Unable to shake off his connection to the plane, Oritsejafor has resorted to abuse and vilification. Were he more reflective, he would be pondering how, of all the private jets available in Nigeria, it was his that came to be involved in a covert arms purchase scandal. Would he have managed any objectivity if the plane involved happened to belong to a prominent person of another faith or political persuasion?

Since abuse is not argument and is incapable of displacing fact, Oritsejafor may care to answer if the jet involved in the scandal is the same one that was "donated" to him in 2012? Did he register it as a commercial aircraft or is the plane illegally moonlighting as one? Has he ever reflected on the impropriety of mixing his religious role with politics? Having strayed into politics, and an irresponsible variant at that, can he expect the veneration enjoyed by his predecessors such as Cardinals Olubunmi Okogie and John Onaiyekan? Why is he the first CAN leader to provoke pitiful mirth and amusement when he is not being derided as a tragedy, a sort of Ichabod, desperate to separate glory from a revered body? Amidst his jitters, Oritsejafor must look beyond the bling to ask himself if it was any of the individuals he abused yesterday that asked him to make his aircraft available for monkey business, or get himself involved in the politics of division.

It is pertinent that we invite the Federal Government to reflect on its role in this episode. Our country needs to bolster its military and security forces with the material resources they need to defeat insurgency and restore security to every inch of its territory. This would require arms imports. But should Nigeria violate the arms export regulations of other countries in this endeavour? Should the FG recklessly impair and jeopardise diplomatic relations by conducting covert arms purchases in friendly countries without the consent of their governments? Such conduct invariably leads to suspicions that such covert arms procurement may not be for purposes of national security.

This instance of arms procurement outside official channels amidst an escalating insurgency must concern every patriot. In his House of Commons statement last week, Mallam El Rufai had alluded to the clear implications of the likely link between governmental murkiness and the escalation in the insurgency. The government has long tried to explain away its incompetence in upholding security by blaming insurgency on the major opposition party. But it is becoming increasingly clear to many that this insurgency is benefitting the ruling party and the incumbent president by providing them a pretext to postpone elections and, at the minimum, disenfranchise large swathes of the population that have never supported the PDP or voted for Jonathan.

Mallam Nasir El Rufai urges every Nigerian to be vigilant in these troubled times. The tragedy of mindless terror should not be allowed to become an endless catastrophe because of narrow political calculations.

How involved is the FG in this evil, even up to the extent of intervening to secure the release of the aircraft involved?

Is Henry Okar when he told the nation that GEJ is behind the Oct 1st bombing?
Was Obasanjo right about Jonathan's training snipers?
Could the rumour be true. That FG is behind current Boko Haram?

All over the world America and israel devil footprints are evidenced. They cause mayhem and anarchy anywhere. They are not even christians in the first place. These are nation that are adherent of devils since centuries. The illuminati hard print is all over the facets of their life... They sponsor real wars everywhere, murder Ghadafi and wrote malicious biography abt him just to spread the hatred. The CIA, Home land security, Mosad and MI4 has assasinate several of our president. They spread wars and instability in Arab world. Ofcos the devil love wars, he love blood and anarchy. The bokoharam, ISIS, Al qaida etc are their foot soldiers. They depose Mahmoud of egypt so that when israel launch their massive onslaught on hapless palestine the stooge Al sisi will support them by closing Rafa crossing. Saudi Arabia is another stupid and clueless foot agent of this Horus state. Look at Israel flag and tell me if its not 666 written all over it anywhere u look at it from. But the nigerian are the most clueless people on earth due to the shackles of ethinicity and religious bigotry. An everyday christian will still blame muslims or the north for killing themselves now who does that? Boko haram with their sophisticated weapons can cross to east or south if they choose to. They can bring down Aso rock if they choose to cos these are people who re ready to die not like me and u who value our lives. But why haven't they? If a hundred BK want to reach Jona today in Aso rock they will, highest u will kill abt 60 of them before they take over but hey evidence have shown even nigerian army fear them and have flee haphazardly in many of their battles with BK. BK is federal govt masquerade and CAN have hands in this. I don't care whose ox is gored imma speak my mind u all can refute this or insult but when u re condemned and curse not to read between the lines will i blame u? A typical imam don't have 20 mills in his bank account who dash monkey banana? Compare that to an everyday pastors around u in naija today. I have always said muslims exist in this nigeria by will of Allah and if not christian can wipe every last muslims in nigeria and the world in general if they so wish. Five pastors in nigeria can fund military budget of five other africa nation. Yeah they are that rich. I have lot of christian friends i can literally die for. I can't do without them, they are my friend who i values as blood. So also in my family christainity runs deep too. That's the variety that Allah want. If he so desire he will have easily make each and everyone of us follow one religion. The earlier naija people realize this the better for our national unity. Let's stop religious fanatism muslim and christians alike. Its bad religion leaders are now using in political war strategy.

2014PRESS RELEASE:CASH-LOADED JET AND WEAPONS DEAL: IT IS A CONSPIRACY AGAINST MUSLIMS

Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor was alleged to have admitted ownership of a private jet seized last weekend by South African authorities. The aircraft was stashed with $9.3 million in cash meant for arms purchase. In the same vein, the Federal Government (FG) issued a statement yesterday admitting ownership of the cash. Oritsejafor has sought to extenuate the deal by claiming that the jet was hired out by Eagle Air in which the pastor himself has “residual interest”. The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) is alarmed by this scandalous development. We have every reason to reject FG’s explanation and it is hereby rejected. Government is being economical with the truth. We suspect a grand conspiracy against Nigerian Muslims in this latest revelation. Nigerian Muslims are enveloped with apprehension. All the ingredients of a plot are here for those who care to look beyond their noses. In a country in which two religions are most prominent and are hot rivals of each other, here is the national leader of a religious group who also happens to be the president’s kinsman, an undisguised Muslim hater, a man with a belligerent disposition towards his Muslim neighbours, a man who has been threatening hell and brimstone over the Boko Haram saga. Tie this to the Israeli connection, a country well known for its anti-Muslim and mass murder propensities. It raises more questions than answers. For instance, was the intended arms purchase really meant for the Nigerian Armed Forces? What is the guaranty that it was not meant for Niger Delta militants, or Christian crusaders masquerading as Boko Haram? Afterall, under-the-table assistance for Boko Haram has been noticed in the past. Where did the arms and food drops for Boko Haram by helicopters come from? Only the Israelis are capable of doing that. MURIC is shocked by the huge amount involved: $9.3 million! Conservatively, $1m is N163m. $9.3m is therefore N1,514,502,583.61 at the current exchange rate of N163 to $1. It is very disturbing for this to be happening in a country bedeviled by serious security challenges bordering on religious rivalry and ethnic jingoism. There is definitely something sinister about all these. We assert that Nigerian Muslims are not safe any longer. We are not safe in the hands of Israeli military advisers breathing down the neck of the Nigerian government and encouraging it to arm the Christians to the teeth. The fate of Nigerian Muslims is therefore not certain. We have lost confidence in FG and its security agencies, particularly with the involvement of Israel. Islamic scholars are disappearing at will all over the country. Recruitment exercises into the security outfits favour Christians even in Muslim dominated areas. President Jonathan has just concluded a national conference whose composition was lopsided and in favour of Christians. FG relies heavily on Israel, a well-known anti-Muslim country for its security matters. Palpable fear of religious cleansing has therefore gripped Muslims. Whole Muslim communities are already being wiped out in the North East under the guise of ‘Boko Haram’. Just two months ago, 34 Muslims who were followers of Shaykh Ibrahim Alzakzaky were massacred by soldiers in Zaria and nothing has been heard of it. MURIC calls on the National Assembly to save Nigeria from total disintegration. This jet and cash story is a scandal of monumental proportion and it must not be swept under the carpet. The National Assembly must intervene in order to calm nerves. This is not the hand of Esau and the voice of Jacob. It is the hand of President Jonathan and the voice of Oritsejafor. There is an unholy union here. An aircraft owned by a war-mongering and current national president of CAN, the cash is being claimed by a Christian-led, Muslim-repressing government, there is more to this than meets the eye. We are no longer safe. MURIC demands the termination of all security deals with the Israelis in Aso Rock, the seat of government. It is too dangerous to involve a country like Israel, an anti-Muslim country in the security matters of a country like Nigeria, deeply polarized by religious sentiments. Only a government with an anti-Muslim agenda will do such a thing. It is time for the Israelis to be kept at bay regarding key security issues in Nigeria. We advise President Jonathan to change his tactics, to integrate Muslims into his government, to stop the political marginalization of Muslims, to review the Christian-loaded recruitment into the security agencies, to probe the disappearance of Islamic scholars and the killing of Muslims in Zaria and to balance the sharing of the dividends of democracy between Christians and Muslims.  We warn that the lopsided recruitment into the security agencies, particularly the Nigerian Army in the past three years, smacks of a more sinister plot to systematically wipe out Nigerian Muslims through extra-judicial killings. We draw the attention of the international community to acts of pro-Christian favouritism and anti-Muslim practices of President Jonathan. The Nigerian leader is deliberately dividing his citizens along religious lines. MURIC affirms that it seeks peaceful coexistence between Christians and Muslims. We are prepared to live with our neighbours. We urge those fanning the embers of war and amassing weapons to remember the plight of Liberia, Congo, Sierra Leone, Bosnia Herzegovina, etc. The ravages of war, the sufferings of millions of innocent young and old are better imagined than experienced. Finally, we appeal to Muslims throughout Nigeria to allow the National Assembly to wade into the matter. Meanwhile, we charge them to remain calm and law-abiding.

This is the most silly and idiotic write up I have seen in a very long time. Must we play the religious game on everything? Who is threatening who in this country? Going by antecedents, it seems like some people who has been oppressing the masses for so long are now crying foul because they feel that the table is turning against them.

In all, the point am driving at is that the involvement of the CAN president in issues as volatile as this is a development to be frowned upon by every Nigerian irrespective of creed, tribe or religion.

i will blame christian leaders for their crave for owning private jets is becoming unbearable, they make it look like d gospel of our Lord Jesus depends on it......owning one thus classify d into herachical system were they are refered to as "greatmen of God"........for me i hav my reservation for dis "show of wealth" termed prosperity.
1timothy6:6 says.. entment which is a sense of [d]inward sufficiency) is great and abundant gain.

7For we brought nothing into the world, and obviously we cannot take anything out of the world;

8But if we have food and clothing, with these we shall be content (satisfied).

9But those who crave to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish (useless, godless) and hurtful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction and miserable perishing.

10For the love of money is a root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have been led astray and have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves through with many [e]acute [mental] pangs.

11But as for you, O man of God, flee from all these things; aim at and pursue righteousness (right standing with God and true goodness), godliness (which is the loving fear of God and being Christlike), faith, love, steadfastness (patience), and gentleness of heart.

12Fight the good fight of the faith; lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned and [for which] you confessed the good confession [of faith] before many witnesses.

dats is d issue i hav wit pastors and private jets.... but as for d hypocrytical "quota system professor"

2.were was he wen d fulani marauders invade plateau, benue e'tal maiming innocent citizens,
3..were was he wen sharia was been on nigerians living up north considering d fact dat nigeria is a secular state?.......diz and many more questions beg for answers.

My integrity and conscience is the reason, why I'm asking you to buff up your self esteem. You are not a slave in this country, stop seeing yourself as one.

With the latest revelations and what we know prior to this about his hobnobbing with politicians, many Nigerians will share that your sentiment in bold.

author=saytan]pastor haryor was a self confessed armed robber who used
to terrorize warri and smoked dope at the back of churches before
robbing innocent people. I guess old habits die hard[/quote]

1.Name the churches and their addresses in Warri
2. Name any area in Warri where he carried out a robbery operation.
Simplex Imbecilis, he grew up in Sapele, not Warri. U are a disgrace to the name that you bear! Akuya!

When it was revealed that Sanusi awarded a contract worth billions of naira to a firm,in which El Rufai was a Senior Partner, he denied having anything to do with the contract, that he stopped dealings since he was in government! How many people raised an eyebrow?
Nigerians have the attention span of an housefly! When was the last time that Lai Muhammad and the other APC leaders mentioned the so called missing $20 billion naira? People will keep talking much about nothing!

The reaction you just read from MURIC is as a result of the stupid religious slant OritseJETfor had given to the BH issue from the word go

MURIC are only playing the game according to the dictates of the discreditted CAN President since 'Action and Reaction are equal but opposite'

I am a Christian by the way but the truth be told.......GEJ/Oritsejafor's advent on our political milieu have further exacerbated the ethnoreligious differences that have always being albeit latently

Truly there is more to this issue than what
eyes can see. It is crystal clear that
Muslims are no longer safe in this country.
This latest arm deal of the Christian
association of Nigeria in collaboration with
the federal government was not the first
time the pastors would be involved in arm
smuggling into the country. There were
news reports by Daily Trust Newspaper of
Saturday, 2nd November on arrest of CAN
Military operatives by the police “for
operating illegal security outfit” in Jalingo,
Taraba State. On January 11th 2012, two
Nigerians, Sunday Eze from Anambra State
and one Samuel Taiwo from Ogun State
with three other Ghanains were arrested in
Ghana, with heavy weaponry, carefully
concealed in a truck. All these were swept
under the carpet without any investigation.
The latest threat by pastor Bosun
Emmanuel (the lion of CAN) to take over
the south west by all means in his lecture
delivered recently should be of more
concern to the generality of Muslims. We
agree to be at peace but how are we sure
our continue silence will not get us all wipe
out from the country where others are
allowed to accumulate large consignments
of arms for orchestrated goals? A country
where Muslims are always the victim and
everything does by Christian is always
right. In Jos Muslims were killed, burnt and
roasted in the presence of Nigerian police
yet nothing came out of it. It is high time
we cried to the Muslim World to safe
Nigeria Muslims.
