Hello All,

I discovered that my car consumes too much gas so i went for a diagnosis.
Recent diagnosis on my Honda Pilot 2004 EX shows i need to get the following parts...please who can advice where to get them and also the prices:

1. Air/Fuel Ratio Sensors
2. Knock Sensors
3. EVAP Solenoid.
4. Charcoal Canister.

Here is another fresh meat customer to the next lucky mechanic.

He discovered his seven passenger suv consumes too much fuel; went for a diagnosis and needs the following parts

1. Air/Fuel Ratio Sensors
2. Knock Sensors
3. EVAP Solenoid.
4. Charcoal Canister.


Suv by Nigerian standard consume too much fuel so there is nothing wrong with his truck.
He is planning to change good working parts for some fake chinese/used ones just because a mechanic says he should.

If I am a Honda expert and someone comes to me he is willing to do these things why will I not make him pay for his ignorance.



For those who don't understand his mistake

He never had a figure for his avg mpg to know of his consumption is within normal range for type of driving in Nigeria.
He went for diagnosis and came back with a list of parts not codes.
And the first thing he should have stated is if his check engine light is on, if it was off then he will be looking at other things like bad fuel, tire pressure or air filter

I agree with you. People are made to pay dearly for their ignorance. I hope he reads comment early enough.
