I don't know whether we don't have legal department in the Police Force or they are plain senile. The SC ruled in 2007 that the Police Force or any other Security Service have no Power under the Constitution and the Electoral Act to "Bar" anybody from running for Office. That powers solely lies on the Court and Inec which must be in accordance with the Electoral Act and the constitution. The best the NPF cand others can do is to partner with INEC during the screening process, with INEC taking the lead decision. Even at that, The Court can nullify INEC's decision if it violates the law.
