Second month into using airtel android plan, for my side, network is fast and enjoyable. The data burn rate is normal. My N2000 still on my Etisalat since last two months which I intentionally loaded in case Airtel disappoint.

All these people saying the Airtel charge is now normal, is it not 1.5kobo/kb during the day and 1kobo/kb at night?

80% of people exhaust their subscription data 10-15 days b4 d actual expiration date... Even if they subscribe with Glo,mtn or Etisalat. Ask around.

post=26610117:
For me Airtel 2gigabytes for N2000 is one of the best data plan package to go for as of now.
Reasons being that it has

Honest zapping of Data
This 2gb for #2000 is very different from the popular 2gb for #1500.
Airtel introduced this plan months ago due to complains they got from non blackberry device users.

Although the plan is very expensive, its still good because you get exactly what you paid for.
They zap your data according to how you use it, No hidden charges or reduction of data. This 2gb for N2000 last longer than the popular 2gb for N1500.
If you subscribe for the 2gb for N1500 you find out that the data charges is somehow outrageous... Instead of the 2gb you paid for, you get only 500mb.

This is so because the 2gb for N1500 plan, was originally for BlackBerry users.
Whenever you subscribe for any Airtel BB plan, you get a message like this " Your Airtel BB Unlimited plan is active. Re-insert your battery. This plan is for BB devices only.Experience and charging may differ in case of other devices.
Airtel send this message to let you know they know exactly what they're doing (i.e they know about the excess zapping or sucking of data.) Of course they're not fools to sell their precious 2gb for 1.5k when other networks are selling 200mb for N1000 (mt hen and etif salat).

It is:
Better than shared data
This 2gb for N2000 is also better than the popular shared data service, where you get 1gb for N1200 or 500mb for N750 from shared data retailers... You see, whenever you purchase data from any shared data retailer, your data is likely to expire the exact day the shared data retailer purchased the data.... This means that, if the data of shared data retailer is to expire within the next 2days, and you purchase data from him.. Your data too is likely to expire within 2days.. Not 30days .
With Airtel 2gb for N2000 your data expire exactly 30days... Depending on when you subscribe.

No tweaking or Rooting
You don't need to root, tweak or put your device software at risk before subscribing for this plan, Most android users now change their IMEI NUMBERS just to subscribe for glo bis.... Although this saves money if done successfully, it is also dangerous because your device might brick forever for your IMEI NUMBERS isn't tweaked properly. ROOTING is good and DANGEROUS.

Fast Internet connection
The browsing and downloading speed at my end is very awesome.
Although connection speed differs from different locations.
Airtel is one of the fastest network in Nigeria.. In terms of browsing.

That's it guys
Culled from www..com

....

Airtel is one of the fastest networks in Nigeria?
Are you kidding me?

The 2Gb plan is not even up to 2Gb.
The zapping still continues.
Very dishonest network.

make no haste in making conclusions.
Am in cross river.. I download with about 800kb/s at night. And about 270-400kb/s during day time... Connection speed differ from location 2 location.

There is no Etisalat 3g network here in ikom!

Job well done, but you got to try harder. Even if MTN shared data will expire the the I buy it, I still prefer it to that your Airtel.

Note ;Never compare a dead Mtn Internet connection to a living Airtel Internet connection. Jah bless.
Your post is rather myopic at best or downright nonsensical at worst, the fact that MTN Internet connection is good in your neck of the wood does not translate to a generalised bashing of Airtel network,I've been using Airtel for some time now and they're doing a marvellous job of it,even when I have to travel to widely differing locations they have served me well, unlike most especially MTN,so different strokes for different folks, but that won't lead me to a generalised condemnation of MTN,so?
